Question about Zanussi ZWF1430W Front Load Washer

1 Answer

Zanussi ZWF1430W washing machine beeping.

The washing machine stopped working and beeped once. I have drained the water, cleaned the machine and removed some debris from the pump.

I turned the power back on and the machine is now beeping four times (in the manual it says the door is open). But the door is closed.

Any ideas welcome, as the washing is piling up!!!

For those who have this problem, it was indeed the door lock. Ive bought a new one £20 and fitted it myself. Bingo!!! it works and have save £75 call out charge.

Changing door lock is very easy to do. If your machine beeps (flashes) 4 times like mine, it prob means the lock needs replacing.

Im pleased, but the wife is less so, as she has over a weeks washing to do!!!!!

If the hose on my washing machine is to long and water has to travel up and down will that stop it from working if i pull washing machine out it works thankyou

Most washing machines have a drain pump behind the bottom front panel which is usually held on by small screws at the very bottom of the machine. Unplug it from the wall. Once the bottom panel is removed, there is a large cap that can be removed from the drain pump. When that is removed, you will usually find some debris in the pump that is slowing down the draining process. Look on YouTube and search, "Clean drain pump", for your particular machine.

Tip

Clean the pump filter screen on a Kenmore HE2 Not draining

  1. Unplug machine.
  2. Remove bottom front panel(remove 2-3 screws in the bottom) Pull bottom of panel out and down to remove.
  3. Towards the center bottom you will see the pump. On the front is a round thing that resembles a filter. This is the pump filter screen...
  4. Get a shallow pan to put under screen. Turn lid counter clockwise to remove(turn slowly and allow water to drain. As you may need to dump pan several times before all water is drained out. Be careful or you could end up with water everywhere. Once the water is drained pull out screen and remove the debris and objects stuck in screen and filter housing you should also be able to see the impeller on the pump inspect for debris.
  5. Once everything is cleaned out reverse removal procedures put back together.

Hello, I have a Siemens 1600 WXL166AGB (1600 XL) washing machine. there is a humming while still washing and then it stops and beeps on drain, but not every time. have cleaned out filter, impeller turns,...

Sometimes the impeller can wear so that it is pulled to one side and jams intermittently. Try removing the pump and running it outside of the machine to see if you can catch it misbehaving. Or just replace the pump.

Will not spin

First unplug the machine.Check the drain hose between the tub and drain pump for debris. Some drain pumps have clean out basket attached to them. If yours does open it (prepare for water) and dump the debris then see if you can reach the impeller with a finger. Make sure it turns (it won't spin but you should be able to turn it with a finger) and is not wobbly or cocked to the side. There will likely be some debris in the hose from tub to pump remove it and shine a flashlight into the hose. Look in the tub to see if you can see the light. If so hose is clear. If not there may be a sock or something stopping water from draining properly. Once you are satisfied hose is clear and pump is functionable, plug the machine back in and give it a try. Good luck.

Machine stoped and wont rinse and spin

There are several possibilities. If the machine is "beeping", you may have an out of balance condition. This is common when doing light loads which can't be evenly distributed. If you are able, use the Advance button to skip to the final cycle and start again with a normal sized load of laundry.

Another possibility is a clogged drain pump. On your machine, the pump can be accessed by turning the machine forward (remember to unplug and disconnect water supply and drain hose first) . Once you have the washer on it's belly, go to the back of the machine. The drain tube can be disconnected by unscrewing the bracket and using pliers to remove the clamp. Once the tube is removed, inspect the inside of the drain pump and remove all debris. A small flathead screwdriver of a pair of tweezers are very effective for this task. In some cases, removing the drain pump itself may be necessary. Once clean, reassemble, (hoses plug etc) and start a new load of laundry.

My Kenmore elite he3t is giving me a problem in the spin cycle. Even thought the spin setting is set on high or extra high, the drum turns very slowly and will eventually stop and the washer starts...

The machine will not advance to the high-speed spin cycle unless the water is drained first. The F02 error code manifests this condition as it means draining problem. Either the pump filter is blocked, the drain hose is clogged/kinked, the pressure switch is stuck in the full position, or the pump itself is not working. The display can be cleared by pressing the Pause/Cancel button twice.

Disconnect power and remove the three screws attaching the lower front access panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. You can prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall to access and remove the screws more easily.

Once the panel is off, remove the filter by turning the knob counterclockwise. Clean the filter from any debris that prevents water from draining out properly. Click on the link below for further troubleshooting should the cleaning of the filter does not resolve the problem.

Hello Paula,
Do not know how many flashes but 1green/1red = 11 water pressure low.
2green/1red = 21 blocked filter or pump fault.
You would be best firstly checking the filter and make sure it is clean and pump turns.with water drained and filter out shine torch into filter put on spin/drain and see if pump blade spins if not then try and turn with long screwdriver to free out any debris then refit filter and check for leaks and try donnt fill fully until you are happy it can drain water.
Hope I was of some help.

Good Luck

I have an kenmore elite with error code f02???

The drain pump has either failed or the pump filter has become clogged.
To check the pump, remove the bottom access panel. There you will find access to the pump clean-out.(Large,white screw cap).

Unscrew the pump clean-out, catching and discarding the water. When the water flow finally stops, completely remove the clean-out filter. Inspect the clean-out filter, the drain hose from the tub as well as inside the pump impeller for any additional debris.

Zanussi washing machine has stopped in the middle of a cycle and i cant get it to go again. the clothes are still in it and full of water. How do I get it to drain so I can open the door

Remove the drain outlet hose from the outlet , and lay the hose down into a bucket or similar, and the water should syphon out, thus enabling you to open the door.
Check the filter after you have done this.
Hope this helps.
