For wireless connectivity: If its a branded system please provide the system model and manufacturer.

Once i get that problem resolved, If you permit ethically i can take remote of your computer and can resolve rest of the problem.

If i boot my inspiron the icons on the desktop do not show it is only the cursor that shows

Hi,
The screen may be showing the way it is due to the following reasons.
The user profile corrupt or there are system files may be missing
Try the following steps:
1. Remove the battery from the computer and disconnect the ac adapater.
2. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds
3. reinsert the battery and connect the ac adapter
4. Power on and check again.

If the above steps do not work the next troubleshooting step:

1.At boot up press F8 and boot in safe mode.
2.Once windows shows up, Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Restore.
3.Here you must specify a date that is in bold numerals. It will reboot in a short while. And you will get a working computer
.

Want to connect 3 hard drives to my pc i have 775i65G asrock motherboard and one HD is IDE and other 2 are SATA pls help... sometimes it displays NTLDR missing

hello srikrishna_4

as i understand from your text you have already connected the hard disks.

NTLDR is the loader files that start your windows operating system. the problem could be due to one of the following

1- one of the hard disk other than your "c" drive also has windows installed on it. if windows in still on it then it is causing the problem.

2- one of your drives has had windows on it but deleted. if windows has been it and deleted it has not been done correctly. you need to format that drive clean.

3- hard disk boot priority in the CMOS setup need to be changed. at boot time press Delete or F2 to get to the Bios screen. look for hard disk boot priority and set to show your current "c" drive as the first drive.

hope this has helped.
good luck

if you have cd of your operating system, just boot that cd in your cd rom and go to bios by pressing F2 on system restart and under advanced settings change the boot priority to cd as first option and save those changes and restart,

and then your system will boot from Windows cd and just follow the on screen instructions and it will be done
