How to protect your computer by Virus?

Few tips.

1. Try to updated your anti- virus always.

2. Use original anti-virus support.

3. Minimum try full system scan 3 days a week.

4. Before open any external memory device ( Example : hard drive, pendrive, memory card, mobile, etc ) don't forget to scan.

Cpu is running at 100% and memory is at 80%. how can i fix this problem. computer is very slow.

There are many reasons for this issue.

1. CPU over heating: Make sure CPU fan is working very well and the ventilation of your system is not closed by dusts and all. its better remove all the dust from CPU.

2. Virus : Its happening sometimes because of some viruses. You need to install a good anti-virus and scan your system completely

3.Unwanted programs running behind.: Check your systems add/remove programs for the list of programs installed in your system. Remove the programs you are not using so far.

4. Excessive storage of temp files and caches : You need to remove all this unwanted stuffs from your system, see the step by step instructions on how to remove all this here

5. Virtual memory: Increase some virtual memory of your system. see the instructions here

6. Do a diskclean up and free some disk space of C Drive. see the instructions here

7. Stop unwanted programs at start up : see the instructions here

Do this things and see the result. still its showing the same issue you need to take your system to nearest shop

What does ''OX66ef16f4 referenced memory at 0X00000000, the memory could not be read''. This comes up lately at least once a day on my computer and sometimes when it is booting up?

This could be that a memory stick is failing, the memory is infected with a virus, or one of the memory slots is failing. The first two are most likely the problem. The first thing to check is to see if the operating system is seeing all of the memory. To do this, right click on "My Computer" go to "Properties and click on that. That should bring up a window that tells you the name of the computer, the operating system, processor info and memory info. IF you have 2 gigs of memory installed and you are using the on board video it should read the total amount of memory minus the size of the on board video (example, If you have 2 gigs of memory and the on board video is 512 MB, you would see 1.5 gigs of available memory). If this looks normal then I would recommend running a virus scan with a virus software that is capable of scanning the memory such as Avast. New viruses are able to be stored in the memory module and are not detected by many of the virus softwares. One other possible solution would be to try removing the memory and re-seating it.

How do i flash bios on my 2400 Dell Dimension

Your sister has a vivid imagination. Changing the memory and flashing the BIOS will chane nothing.

If you want to start from scrath then reformat the hard drive and reinstall the system but as you probably don't have a system backup disc this will prove impossible for you.

Your best bet is take it to your local PC shop (I don't mean the mainstream ones) and they will be able to restore your system.

You've learned a valuble lesson the hard way here. Always have a good antivirus programme installed, make sure it is up to date and do a full scan on a regular basis.

Free virus removal from Dell PC

you can try avast at:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

or
malwarebytes at:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/

both softwares are good and free.
the memory of the system will depend on the capacity of the RAM installed on the system. you can either upgrade the memory (RAM) or stop applications from running at start-up

If a machine is running slow, there is usually 3 reasons...
1) Remove all spyware using a program
2) Run an anti-virus like AVG Free Anti-Virus to clear any viruses
3) Add some memory to the machine

Hi masters: My computer go realy slow, when you stop using it for 10 min.I have installed a CA security anti virus, etc ,but still reporting one virus that the CA anti, hasent been able to clean so...

You need to find the path to where the virus file is located & delete it you're self. You're antivirus software should show you where it is located. Once you delete the virus file, shut down the PC. Unplug the power cord from the PC. Open you're case & remove you're memory. Wait about 15 seconds & reseat you're memory. (make sure you're memory is seated correctly).
Removing the memory clears the memory from memory virus).
Close you're case & reconnect the power cord. Boot the PC. Once windows has finished loading run windows diskClean, than run windows defrag. (may take some time). After defrag has finished restart you're PC. Run another virus scan. If you're virus software still finds a virus or you're system & its still running slow the virus may have damaged windows files or windows registry. A reinstall of windows may be needed. If you have system restore turned on than the virus is most likely being stored in one or more restore points.
Remove infected files that you cannot clean in the System Restore data archive. To completely and immediately remove any infected file or files in the data store, turn off and then turn on System Restore. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Performance and Maintenance, and then double-click System.
3. Click the System Restore tab, and then click to select the Turn off System Restore for all drives check box.
4. Click OK, and then click Yes to initiate the restore point deletion.
To turn on System Restore again after the restore point deletion has completed, repeat these steps, but click to clear the Turn off System Restore for all drives check box.

Good Luck!

Mike
