I am guessing you have this hooked to a windows program. more than likely you have an AUTO advance blank page command sending to it after every print job. I do not think it is a paramter you can set on the printer itself so it has to come from the software you are using. You did not mention what that would be.

You can look at printer settings by pressing the button & HOLDING till it BLINKS 1 time then let go. the settings on the printer, not the software of the program, will print.

I think that the settings in your label printer driver are not the same as the physical label.
Say you have a 50 x 25mm label , then the settings in the printer driver must be the same, both in the "Properties" and the "Default" Tabs. Also if your printer has a calibration routine, then run this first.

Can't get the Zebra S4m printer to align? How should I trouble shoot this? Sonya

I am assuming you mean misalignment of lable top or start of print moving on label.

check sensor for lable debris.

if OK then perform media calibration:

Enter menu and scroll to ADVANCED

press enter and use password 9999

scroll to MEDIA and RIBBON CALIBRATE

Remove a few labels and remove ribbon

Press right arrow to continue display CALIBRATING PLEASE WAIT.

When complete reload ribbon and labels press right arrow printer will feed approx 39"

printer should now print OK.

you need to calibrate. hold the feed button down intill it flashes 4 times in a row and the quickly let go. it will feed some labels to calibrate and should stop at the tear off. you also have to set label size in the driver to keep from losing calibration.

Printing Labels

The MPF is simply the "Manual Paper Feed".
Your printer is set by default that the MPF paper type is "plain paper". Since you are telling the printer that you are trying to print lables, the printer is simply telling you that you need to load the MPF with lables.

If you say "ok", the printer sould continue and print the lables.

If you only print lables, the you can change the default paper for the MPF tray to "lables", and then you will no longer be prompted to load the tray.

Your problem is a computer configuration issue, not a printer problem.

Without knowing any details of your system configuration, it is impossible to offer and further advice.
