Cannot connect wirelessly due to wireless connection not on list

Router is probably set to not broadcast the SSID. If you know it you can manually set up wireless anyway. If not you will need to set up wireless broadcasting.

My router wlan is not blinking

What is the model number of your router.
Make sure that SSID broadcast is enabled on your router.

I think you need to check the wireless settings on your router.
Sometimes it happens that LED goes bad.

Open the setup page of the router.
Go to wireless section and check for the SSID broadcast. It must be enabled.
Try changing the wireless channel on the router.
If you see your wireless network name in the list of available networks then don't worry about WLAN light.

My wireless network is fine and my printer works fine but I get the above error message - router / access point channel conflict every time and so can't scan wirelessly!

Could it be both wireless from router and access point broadcast with same channel (either 1, 6, or 11) If you don't need wireless broadcast from router, log on to router and disable it. You will then be fine.

Router not seeing internet connection

If you are on cable internet, you need to perform MAC Address Cloning. Access the router's setup page using your main PC, under SETUP tab, there's a sub-tab called MAC Address Clone. Enable that and click on "Clone My PC's MAC" then click on Save Settings. Power cycle the router and the modem. You should be online after that.

My DLink DI 524 wireless quit on me...ethernet is still operating

You stated "The SSID is not being broadcasted either." Turn on your SSID broadcast so your computer can see the network and reconnect back to it.
