At the end of each spin cycle it knocks loudly

It seems at the end of each spin cycle it knocks loudly and shakes ecessively. I'm wondering if the damper pads are finished.

I'm in Liberia West Africa.

I have the same problem. I think it has something to do with the nylon spacer inside the agitator. This spacer has something to do with the brake that stops the spinning when the lid is raised. If the agitator is removed the last piece is the spacer. it has one finger that goes down into a hole and one finger that goes up into the agitator. I'm thinking it might be worn out.

We have the same washer and had the exact same problem.. we FIXED the problem!!!
The long metal rods that the tub hangs on... (in white, greased nylon ball joints in each corner) one of these rods were out of position (the hook at the end of the rod is suppose to sit in a certain position... it was clear that one of them was out of position...) you can email me for more information if you dont understand... it is - i b ron h @ yahoo . com
We are NOT washing machine mechanics.. we just HAPPENED to stumble onto the fix!! the machine is working BETTER than it has in a LONG time! YEAH!

A Clothes Washer with the complaint of "excessive noise & sssshaking" can typically be a couple of things;

Un-level Washer (Very Likely) - I would level and adjust your legs on your washer appropriately. Make sure when your slighly "push test" your washer, you have no machine movement, rocking or tilting. When the machine is going into the final rinse/spin cycle, the tub can rotate fast and if the washer legs or even the floor is slightly un-level, this can result in your washer to become noisey, shake, etc and can further cause the unit to break-down and no longer spin.

Un-balanced Load (Likely) - Ensure you are loading the washer and distributing the clothes (weight) evenly as this may cause the tub to spin improperly at final spin cycle.

Broken Drum Support/Springs (Likely) - Can be 5" black supports located at inside - top of tub area. Also, springs can also be located at inside bottom rear of machine holding the tub to the rear panel.

It shakes so violently, it knocked 2 holes in the wall. During the spin cycle, it also turned completely around backwards!! It's so loud it practically shakes the whole house.

take bottom panel off, check the shocks,if it is making loud noise it's probably spider gear,if you keep using it the boot could rip off and you'll have a flood, get rid of washer it will cost as much to fix washer that you could buy a new one but that's up to you to decide

Knocking in washer

Hi,
Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

good luck.........

very loud in spin cycle can mean a bad rear bearing, not something a homeowner would want to try to replace, parts would exceed 6-7 hundered dollars. you may have some extended part warr through the manufacture. still probly gonna be a 5 hundred when the labor is added in

Loud knocking noise at end of spin cycle

Have you checked the wire harness ,because the tapping of just 2 wires hitting the cabinet is overlooked alot. The noise just 2 wires makes simulates a hammer knocking inside. If the problem isn't escalating than check to see if your tub support arms are all tight. There are 12 of them.

Loud knocking noise at end of spin cycle

To allow for unbalanced loads and reduce vibration in the floor of the house, the outer tub is suspended by various means. Some machines use a heavy rubber ring, others use spiral springs but either of those can, after a heavily unbalanced load, unhang themselves or in the case of the rubber suspension, the rubber tires and rips.
If you remove the back panel (10-12 screws) and look inside while pushing the tub side-to-side, you should be able to find the suspension and inspect it with good light.

Loud clicking/thumping in rinse and spin cycle

It doesn't look like a motor problem !!! It seems like an unbalanced tub issue. The machin has suspension dampers and suspension rods, and it's look like one of them was damaged or "run away" from its location during machin's movement. Goog luck !!
