How to get gforce card in pci-e slot to run a second monitor?Help

I INSTALLED A GEFORCE4 MX440 IN MY PCI-E slot how can i get it to run a second monitor?I have no softwarefor it?

    im running intel graphics on board graphics now on my vista business.i tried the links but they said my drivers were up to date????im confused.nividia is what i want right?

    What operating system are you running?
    Go to this link and get the latest drivers. This will come as an executable. Run the executable. After it install's you should see an icon for the Nvidia control panel use this to set your dual monitor settings.

Go to nvidia.com . hit download driver , and look for your video card model and download . It will download the newest version .

Good your drivers are all correct NVidia is the maker of GeForce. just follow the links to setup the dual monitors in my request for info.

You can't use that card in a PCI express slot because that specific video card uses an AGP connector (which is no longer a supported card interface). You will need to use a motherboard that has an AGP slot.

No, the above video card will not work with the motherboard you have.
the video card you listed is AGP, your motherboard has PCI-Express slots, so you will need to purchase a newer video card.
When purchasing a video card, be sure to look on the box for "PCI-E" or "PCI-Express"

you have to check if your second output is a VGA or a DVI...
accordingly connect the second display...
boot your PC... get into control panel open up nvidia control panel(download latest drivers if needed)..
you will get an option two select which monitor you want primary and many other options...

Video card problem


Does the Verical line on the monitor also come when the monitor is unplugged from teh system. If yes the problem is with the monitor. If no the problem is with the video card. The computer maufacturer may have given you cds to run diagnostics on the card.
Eg on dell system , you need to press the f12 key 5 times after you turn the system on , to run the diags

on your computer, go to the display options then settings. you should see a box that says turn on dual monitor support, check that box, then click apply, now with that turn off you cpu, plug tv in to s-video, then turn cpu back on and that will fix your problem. if you run in to anything else let me know.
