I just installed the program and still I cannot get my camera to show up under a specific location when I click browse.

when I click on control panel it comes up but under scanners and cameras, it does not show up other than doing that outside of the program

it comes up as hard disk drives (local disk C:)
Devices with Removable storage (dvd/cd-rw drive....)
    Scanners and Cameras (Canon powershot)

But when I start up the software to retrieve the photos only the first to come up and my camera does not come up at all

Try www.recuva.com the software is free and should help you recover the pics.
You should be able to select the camera as a drive letter

it does sound like a problem... because when you plug the camera in like that it should act like another drive and assign it a letter

I accidently click thr format option and delted all my photos is there a way to recover the deleted photos

No, you have great chance, no matter you photos in Canon camera got deleted, formatted by accident or became inaccessible due to camera memory card errors. Chances of recovery is possible as long as you take the right action.

Take a try of this Canon Undelete Software, Not only general photo formats, but Canon RAW photo formats (.cr2 or .crw) can be retrieved easily.

Note: before the photos are recovered, Never should you attempt to take more photos or save more data to the memory card in case chances of photo recovery might be reduced. Hope it helps. Regards.

Have lost my photo's from my SD card on Canon PowerShot SX120. i formatted.. how can i get them back

Formatting a memory card completely erases the pictures with no hope of retrieval. If you had only deleted them, you could have used photo retrieval software to get them back.

I accidently deleted a picture. How to recover it back. It is a Canon IXUS 870 IS camera. It uses a SD card.

You can connect camera's memory card to computer, then download this picture recovery program which is outstanding among all picture recovery software.

Just got home from taking a lot of pictures on vacation but now I can only retrieve 5! Could I have accidently erased the rest? What can I try? I know they were on there.

If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.

Deleted photos from canon powershot sd630 need software help

No recovery that I'm aware of can read directly from the camera. You need to install the card within a card reader to use your recovery software. Here's some info on card readers:

And here's some more info on recovery software. Note that the ones reviewed on this blog are all freeware:

Format restoration

Hey seasea911,
I've read nothing but good things about Art Plus Digital Recovery software, but if it's not working I would keep trying different software until I find one that works. I would make sure your SD card is not set to the locked position before trying to recover your images.

Sincerely,
Allan
