Update the drivers and software for that model, if this does not correct it, there may be a problem with the unit.also if you are useing other pointing devices the software for those could cause the condition you descibe. hope this helps you, good luck! glen

Touchpad left click not working

Have you tried opening the laptop up again to see if perhaps the contacts under the left-click button were misaligned or something? To me, the easiest way (meaning not opening up the laptop again) is to just double-tap on the touchpad to left-click, or just get a cheap wireless mouse.

Right side of the mouse pad doesnt work

Unfortunately your touchpad is damaged and will need to be replaced. Most likely this will mean replacing the entire bottom chasis of the unit.

I can find no way to turn off the touchpad and it's screwing up all my papers

I am assuming that you are accidently bumping your touchpad while typing. There are several programs out there to correct this issue, but the easiest one i have found is called TouchFreeze. It disables the touchpad whenever your are typing.
