When you bought it the processor and the memory were a step down compared to the video card. Now, they are all completely outdated - some modern game will not run at all the others will run only at the lowest settings and even then at miserable resolutions and refresh rates.
You need a new pc, from scratch.
The card you are looking for is a
NVIDIA Riva TNT2 M64, it´s an agp 4x card, ussually with 32 or 64 mb of video ram.
So basically you are looking for an AGP 4X card. If you don´t want to mess with drivers, look for an Nvidia Riva TNT2 M64 with 32 or 64 mb of video ram. You can also look for any other agp 4x but make sure the connector (Bellow the black square) has the same shape and golden parts.
Ebay would be ussually the easiest, and ussually the cheapiest on this card.
Good luck getting a replacement!!
Hi, Unfortunately you can not upgrade your "NVIDIA Vanta LT 16 MB AGP" Graphic card from 16 MB to 64 MB by installing or upgrading the driver. It comes in 4-16 MB configurations and the max video memory is 16 MB for that type of graphic card. You have to buy new graphic card which is capable 64 MB memory. Hope this helps. I wouldnt know whether you just like ATI Graphics cards, or it was recommended for you. But I would still give you my straight forward advice, and this is : Go for NVIDIA Ge-FORCE graphics cards. Trust me, you would thank me for it later. I didnt want to recommend a specific model for you though, because of our difference in country locations, but just try and get a high memory (like 256MB and above), NVidia Graphics card that is compatible with your system. Also check out the available slot on your system that you will use for it first before you go (So that you wont go and get an AGP slot card when you have just an open PCI Slot). I'm telling you this because I've used A LOT of graphics cards also (Over 10 years now)! and I've come to that conclusion that NVIDIA makes the best graphics card. Hope this helps you out. Goodluck!
Try reinstalling the driver for this card. Please visit the manufacturer's website for the latest version of the driver for your OS. You may have mistakenly installed the wrong driver, for the wrong OS.
If that does not work, see if your AGP slot is viable, or try a different slot if available. Should that fail as well, most likely you have a faulty card.
