When you bought it the processor and the memory were a step down compared to the video card. Now, they are all completely outdated - some modern game will not run at all the others will run only at the lowest settings and even then at miserable resolutions and refresh rates.
You need a new pc, from scratch.
Hi, Unfortunately you can not upgrade your "NVIDIA Vanta LT 16 MB AGP" Graphic card from 16 MB to 64 MB by installing or upgrading the driver. It comes in 4-16 MB configurations and the max video memory is 16 MB for that type of graphic card. You have to buy new graphic card which is capable 64 MB memory. Hope this helps. You may have bad or incompatible Ram . Verify that the memory you have is compatible. .
Machine name: Dell Dimension 3000 CPU options: Intel Pentium 4 or Intel Celeron Chipset: Intel 865GV Chipset HD Bus: Ultra ATA/100 Front Side Bus options: 800MHz FSB Memory Speed options: PC3200 DDR400 184pin SDRAM DIMM Special notes: The Dimension 3000 has two different bus speeds each of which takes different memory. You cannot mix the speeds.
Take the memory out and install one at a time. This way you can verify that the memory is indeed working. If you find a bad one, replace it.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
Try reinstalling the driver for this card. Please visit the manufacturer's website for the latest version of the driver for your OS. You may have mistakenly installed the wrong driver, for the wrong OS.
If that does not work, see if your AGP slot is viable, or try a different slot if available. Should that fail as well, most likely you have a faulty card.
