Dont worry all u need to do is that shut down the computer first and then take the dvd drive out of the computer and then let it be like that for one minute and then put the dvd drive back in and then turn on the computer and then check in my computer and it should be visible ini my computer and it will definately work and then delete the upper filter and the lower filter from the registry and restart the computer once again and it will defiantely help u out...good luck...

TSSTcorp TS-L632 (B) drive is writing CDs, reading DVDs but not writing DVDs.

First check that your drive is indeed a DVD writer and not a 'hybrid' i.e. CD writer and DVD reader. If it is, go on the manufacturer's site and see if they have Win 8 compatible drivers - Win 8 is a fairly new OS so they may not have had time to get a new one out.

0F00:136C IDE device failed:blank media or no media is present in optical drive

read failure of the CD\DVD drive. If you were running diagnostics and have no readable media in the drive, that is a NORMAL result.
If you have readable media in the drive, try reseating the drive and try to read again. If the media is not a factory burned CD, try a factory burned one.
See if you can boot to an Windows CD.
If all the above fail, then likely a drive failure, replace the drive

DVD-RW Not recognized in Dell Inspiron 1525

Turn off your laptop, take the dvd-rw drive out of the laptop and then reseat it back into the slot so it snaps into place. Turn the laptop back on and make sure its recognized in My computer.

If it is reocognized then try to burn again and see what happens. If it still gives you the same message, see if your drive will read regular dvd movies. If it doesn't then that means the laser is going bad and the drive will need to be replaced.

Inspirion B130 DVDRW drive

On the bottom of the notebook under the DVD drive push the latch to eject the DVD module. Once the module is ejected gently re-insert the module using both thumbs until you hear a click. Your DVD should now be recognized by the computer.

Ok my inspiron 1300 dvdrw drive isnt....

hah. last time i had this happen it was hardware failure on the cd/dvd drive... i hope this isnt the case!

these drives always have satisfactory drivers in windows itself. in your device manager, (control panel--> system-- hardware tab--device manager), does it show your drive in the right place? or is it below in the yellow question mark category indicating that there's a problem?

from your descrition, it sound a bit like you have a bad disk in there not a bad drive, but that's just a guess at this point.

in the device manager, if you "uninstall" your drive, on reboot, the drivers will be installed again ( I assume you have windows xp?). this may help refresh your drivers...

I remember in an older laptop, I upgraded to windows xp service pack 3, and it was that service pack that made my drive at weird, so i went back to sp2

Dell Inspiron B130 DVD RW problems

First thing you need to check is whether the issue happens only if you are logged in to Windows or not. For you to check if it also happens outside of Windows, insert the Windows Operating System disk (XP or Vista) then shutdown the computer. Turn it back on. As soon as you see the Dell Logo, keep on pressing F12. Then select "CD/DVD ROM" from the choices and press enter. When you see the prompt "Press any key to boot from the CD", keep on tapping the "Enter" key. If your CD/DVD drive is working fine, you should see a page that'd say "Windows is loading files". If not then the system is not detecting your drive. Then check the BIOS page. F2 on the Dell Logo. Then look for Drive Configuration. If the drive isn't there, reseat it. Physically remove the drive from the computer and put it back in. Then restart.
