My inspiron isnt registerng the dvdrw drive

I have a Dell inspiron B130 and I have a TS-L632 Dvd rw drive but the only problem I have is that On my computer it isnt showing the drive. The drive powers up and works But its not noticed in the system. I checked in device manager and I dont see it there. So What do I do? Where can I find the software to get it? Please help...if its something simple then it would save me money on buying a new one when this works

Dont worry all u need to do is that shut down the computer first and then take the dvd drive out of the computer and then let it be like that for one minute and then put the dvd drive back in and then turn on the computer and then check in my computer and it should be visible ini my computer and it will definately work and then delete the upper filter and the lower filter from the registry and restart the computer once again and it will defiantely help u out...good luck...

TSSTcorp TS-L632 (B) drive is writing CDs, reading DVDs but not writing DVDs.

First check that your drive is indeed a DVD writer and not a 'hybrid' i.e. CD writer and DVD reader. If it is, go on the manufacturer's site and see if they have Win 8 compatible drivers - Win 8 is a fairly new OS so they may not have had time to get a new one out.

My toshiba TS-l632 Dvd writer installs as a regular disc drive for my windows 64 bit vista. shows incompatable with vist 64 for some reason...any ideas?

They haven't released or you do not have the 64 bit drivers for the device. Look on the website for Vista 64bit drivers for that device. You might try using compatability mode to run in 32 bit mode on 32 bit drivers but you may lose functionality.

Inspirion B130 DVDRW drive

On the bottom of the notebook under the DVD drive push the latch to eject the DVD module. Once the module is ejected gently re-insert the module using both thumbs until you hear a click. Your DVD should now be recognized by the computer.

Dell Inspiron B130 DVD RW problems

First thing you need to check is whether the issue happens only if you are logged in to Windows or not. For you to check if it also happens outside of Windows, insert the Windows Operating System disk (XP or Vista) then shutdown the computer. Turn it back on. As soon as you see the Dell Logo, keep on pressing F12. Then select "CD/DVD ROM" from the choices and press enter. When you see the prompt "Press any key to boot from the CD", keep on tapping the "Enter" key. If your CD/DVD drive is working fine, you should see a page that'd say "Windows is loading files". If not then the system is not detecting your drive. Then check the BIOS page. F2 on the Dell Logo. Then look for Drive Configuration. If the drive isn't there, reseat it. Physically remove the drive from the computer and put it back in. Then restart.
