I recently bought a SanDisk 4GB SDHC card for my DXG-572V. I put it in the camera, and I turned the power on. A screen comes up saying "Format Card?". I have tried selecting both "Yes" and "No", but...

Your problem is that you are trying to use an incompatible memory card.

The DXG-572V is not SDHC compliant and will only work with regular SD cards. In theory it's compatible up to 4GB but in practice there are few standard SD devices which work well with standard SD cards above 2GB.

Uploading pics

- Connect the smaller end of the USB
cable into the USB port of your DXG.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to your computer's USB port.
- The Digital video camera’s LCD Panel will turn on and will display
the PC Connection Menu
- Press the select button up or down button to select Mass Storage
Device option on the menu screen.

Goto my computer, you can see new 1 drive appear (or 2 if you have SD card in your DXG). So now you can copy/upload your pictures to your computer hard disk.

PC Camera not compatable with Vista

if you loaded the XP driver on a vista machine, it will not work. Vista is a 64bit O/S and XP is 32bit.
You will need to contact the manufacture for a vista driver. Sorry, there is no other way. That is the price of advancement.

,y DXG 538 digital camera has no flash and pictures in screen

ok, for starters, the 4028x1260 is the resolution, meaning, the picture quality and computer terms, the number of pixels in the picture...the higher the number the better...usually

anyway, to turn on the flash, push the "Set" button. in the lefthand side of the screen...i think. will be a symbol that changes. the A means automatic, the O with a line through it means no flash, and the others are useless.

to make them brigter, in the menu you should see a thing that says E.V. {somenuber}.{someOTHERnumber}

ie. 0.0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and it goes to negative 2.0 as well.

the higher the number the brighter the pic

Time setting my my dxg-572v

Once you turn it on hit the menu botton then on the side where it says play/stop and all of that hit the display/set that's above everyhting and then another screen will come up with the date, time, format and all of that stuff. Just click on that and you should be able to set the time but it switches to army time after a while.

Try rocking the screen back and forth. If the picture changes, there is a short in the cable.
