from the copy screen touch the duplex button on the display and choose 2 sided > 2 sided. if it is not available in the menu the duplex unit may have failed repeatedly and shut itself down in which case you would need to go into simulation mode and perform a u906.
have you ever operated a copier? it,s so simple place the originals face up on the DADF. SELECT the no. of copies. there will be option available on display for selecting whether you want B&W or color copies like b&w, auto color, full color etc. there will be copy ratio button for zoom(25%-400%).
Now press start button.
For two sided copying press "two sided". There you will have mainly two options
(i) 1>2 sided:- converts two single sided documents in to a two sided copy
(ii)2>2 sided:- converts a 2 sided document into a 2 sided document.
normally both will be done in book type for normal orientation.
I am going to assume you have a document feeder (ADF) on the copier.
Insert originals into document feeder and press the 1-1 simplex button on the LCD screen. If have single page documents that you want to turn into double sided documents then select 1 - 2 button. If you have double sided originals already and want to make double sided copies then select 2 - 2 button. Then hit the green copy start key...done.
On the machine when a 2 sided document is inserted in the document handler, select the 2x2 button on the console. Press the start button and the machine will feed the document in, and do a reverse of the document for the second scan. In the paper feeder, the machine feeds the paper in and reversed the copy back into the machine, flips the copy then feeds the copy back for the second side to be copied.
If you do not have a m20i, the lower model numbers will not do two sided copies.
The duplexer is for 2 sided copies. You can take 2 single sided copies and make (duplex) them into 1 double sided copy. You can take double sided copies and make more double sided (2 sided) copies with the duplexer. You can also take double sided copies and make single sided copies. Hope this helps.
Press on duplex button and scan your originals one by one on the platen mode (exposure glass). You cannot use the ADF for this function.
After every scan press the Start button.
After the last page please press the enter button as displaying in the display.
Then the copier itself can finish making duplex copies as you wanted.
Good luck and please rate me, thanks.
