Question about Bose Lifestyle 12 System
My display is dead. I got no audio. This unit has sat in a box for the last 5 plus years. I just want to get this thing working again. Do you think its possible woth out spending $300.00? What do you think it is? I understand that you are the pro.
Thank You for your help
Hi, The dead display is possibly down to a capacitor problem, see fixes already covered by me, it's a 33uF capacitor either on the display board or if a newer unit on the main pcb, these cost less than $1 there is only one just change it.
The no audio may be a simple fix, do you have sound from the head set socket?, if yes then look for one of my other fixes on changing a resistor near the control socket, if no then I need to have a think... If the unit has no sound or display after changing the capacitor it could be a power supply fault. Fix the display first and let me know.
