you must go to www.gur.in website then go to registry tweaks on the left side then a window will refresh take a look on the right side choose restore missing cd drive. a registry button will pop up install it then restart the computer
Open the administrative tools and go to computer management. Open disk management. Open view, top and hit graphical. You will see the dvd rom drive. Right click on it and select change drive letter and paths. Select and drive letter and it should work. You can read about it in help.
Most notebooks have a quick release button underneath for the CD-rom. There may also be a screw holding it in place. It's unlikely that you would have to remove your keyboard to take the dvd drive out.
