Try to replace the compressor start capacitor, located on the outdoor unit, remove top cover. Check mfd rating and replace with same.

Rear brake light wont work when bake break is pushed only when front is pushed it works

Examine the rear brake pedal and linkage....there should be a light spring that pulls on the brake switch when you push the pedal down...possibly the spring broke and fell off.
If all is well...there should be a connector nearby for the switch...usually 2 wires....12 V power in on one, and power out to brake light on the other. With a multimeter, unhook connector and with key on...you should have 12 V on one of the two wires in the harness...if you don't...there is a harness issue.
If you have power to the switch, now test for continuity (ohms) across the unhooked switch wires ...should be open (no continuity ) with pedal up, and when you press down pedal...the switch should close and show very low ohms continuity. If you cannot get continuity...normally there is an adjustment to move3 the switch out further so the spring from the pedal pulls on the switch plunger more...if your are unable to get continuity by adjusting switch mount..replace switch..

Brake lights wont go off

If the stoplamps are on continuously, the following may be at fault:
  1. Circuitry.
  2. Brake pedal position (BPP) switch.
  3. Multifunction switch (Crown Victoria equipped with the police street appearance package or Grand Marquis)
CHECK THE BRAKE PEDAL POSITION (BPP) SWITCH
Disconnect: BPP Switch. Do the stoplamps continue to illuminate? If yes, continue to the next step. If no install a new BPP Switch.

CHECK CIRCUIT 511 (LG) FOR SHORT TO POWER
Disconnect: Central Junction Box (CJB) Fuse 14 (20A). Do the stoplamps continue to illuminate? If yes, and your Crown Victoria is equipped with the police street appearance package or Grand Marquis, continue to the next step. If Crown Victoria, REPAIR circuit 569 (DG). TEST the system for normal operation. If no, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

CHECK CIRCUIT 9 (LG/OG) FOR SHORT TO POWER
Disconnect: Multifunction Switch C202c. Does the LH stoplamp continue to illuminate? If yes, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation. If no, go to next step.

CHECK CIRCUIT 5 (OG/LB) FOR SHORT TO POWER
Disconnect: Multifunction Switch C202c. Does the RH stoplamp continue to illuminate? If yes, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation. If the high mounted stoplamp continues to illuminate, REPAIR circuit 569 (DG). TEST the system for normal operation. If the high mounted stoplamp does not continue to illuminate, INSTALL a new multifunction switch. TEST the system for normal operation.

Not turnining on got power everywhere, but am I supossed to have continuity every where on the door switch.

  1. the door switch is a 2 part switch,as in when the door is open and the light is on 2 of the 3 terminals will have continuity, when the door is closed the other 2 of the 3 terminals will have continuity so as for the dryer to start and run, there is 1 of these terminals that is common to the other 2 terminals so between that common terminal and either of the other 2 terminals depending where the switch is positioned there will be continuity and the other will be open, then when you change switch position then the open terminal will have continuity and the opposite terminal will be open circuited

S4210 will not start. Sounds like the switch. Could it be something in the cord reel? What is the circuit path here, and is there a fix other than repacing the reel and/or the switch?

It could be the switch or the cord, amongst other things. To check the switch and cord, get to the back of the switch (with the unit unplugged of course) and do continuity tests from the plug to the switch incoming side on both the live and the neutral wires. If you do not have continuity on either one of the wires the cord is faulty. The break will probably be where the cord flexes the most. If you have continuity on the wires, try the switch in the on and off position and see that you have continuity when switched on. If the cord and the switch are in order, the problem is obviously within the vacuum cleaner.

Can i test a four way switch with a meter?

Yes, you should have continuity between two screws, two times (total of four screws) If you have continuity between screw 1 and 2, then you should have continuity between screw 3 and 4. You should not (in this example) have continuity between 1 and 3 or 4. Hope this helps

O2 Dodge Dakota Brake lights wont work but bulbs r good.

If the bulbs are good I would suspect the Brake light switch.

Brake Light Switch: Testing and Inspection
The brake lamp switch can be tested with an ohmmeter. The ohmmeter is used to check continuity between the pin terminals.
Switch Circuit Identification
- Terminals 1 and 2: brake lamp circuit
- Terminals 3 and 4: RWAL/ABS module and Powertrain Control Module (PCM) circuit
- Terminals 5 and 6: speed control circuit
Switch Continuity Test
NOTE: Disconnect switch harness before testing switch continuity.
With switch plunger extended, attach test leads to pins 1 and 2. Replace switch if meter indicates no continuity.
With switch plunger retracted, attach test leads to pins 3 and 4. Replace switch if meter indicates no continuity.
With switch plunger retracted, attach test leads to pins 5 and 6. Replace switch if meter indicates no continuity.

Repaired Husqvarna 41 chainsaw won't start.

Hi

The off switch of the chainsaw has to establish the continuity to kill the running engine.First check the switch with a measure apparat. Then check the continuity of the two wiring harness, sepparately. One wire is atached to the ignition module with a screw and goes to the off position of the switch. The other one towards the on position of the switch.Check the spring!

Car won't start

Hi, does the alarm shut off when you unlock the passenger door?
If it does not I will give you a test that you can do.
1. disconnect the harness anti-theft control module. (loctaion depend were you live USA next to fuse panel Canadian models above the glove box.) Check the continuity between Light Green/Black wire and Black wire of the anti-theft control module.
2. Continuity should not be there with the door lock in, lock or neutral position. With the door lock in-between lock and neutral position (any door) continuity should be present.
3. If continuity is as specified replace the anti-theft control module. If continuity is not as specified, check operation of the door lock switches.I will add that test at bottom.
4. If the door lock switches are ok check the continuity og LIGHT/BLACK wires between anti-theft control module and door lock switches. Check Continuity of BLACK wire between door lock switches and ground. Continuity should be present if Continuity is not present repair harness or connectors.
5. If Continuity is present, check continuity LIGHT GREEN and BLACK wire of anti-theft control module. Continuity should not be present with trunk lock in lock or neutral position. With trunk lock in-between lock and neutral position, Continuity should be present.
6. If Continuity is as specified replace anti-theft control module. If Continuity is not as specified, check operation of truck lock switches. If necessary replace trunk lock switch.
7. If trunk lock switch is ok, check Continuity og LIGHT GREEN wire between anti-theft control module and trunk lock switch. Check Continuity of BLACK wire between trunk lock switch and ground. Continuity should be present. If Continuity is not present repair harness or connectors.

DOOR LOCK SWITCHES
Disconnect 4-pin door lock switch connect (left and right front doors) With door lock in neutral, full lock or full unlock position, there should be no continuity between any terminal and BLACK wire terminal. Continuity should exist between LIGHT GREEN?WHITE wire and BLACK wire terminals with door lock in-between neutral and full lock position. Continuity should exist between LIGHT GREEN/BLACK wire and BLACK wire terminals with door lock in-between neutral and full unlock positions. If continuity is not as described, replaced door lock switch.

Hope this help its a place to start. let me know if you need anything else.

Cheers
