Question about Fisher Paykel EcoSmart GWL15

1 Answer

Hate my Fisher Paykel washer

I've had nothing but trouble with my FP washer. It has flooded my kitchen 3 times. I also hate the fact that it beeps all the time for apparently no reason, won't let me wash with hot water unless I agree to their settings, and I can't open the lid while it's agitating. The sales guy never told me these things when he tried to sell it to me. Miserable machine. It's still under warranty yet the FP people won't let me turn it back in. I thought customer satisfaction meant something.

Actually, I was right in the middle of thinking of how I was going to rate the answer to my FP dilemma when I somehow accidentally hit a button with my mouse and the next thing I saw was a mess. saying,"Thank you for rating this solution," ha! TOTAL accident, it must be super-sensitive or something. Anyway, don't know how I (accidentally) rated it but I was considering "Thanks for trying" because we already had a FP tech come here from Dallas who left the washer water hose taped to our wall because he didn't have correct parts!!!!!!!!!!!! But thanks anyway for trying, Diana

If its under warranty let the tech come fix it if its flooding the kitchen then there may be a problem with the pressure switch now as far as not being able to open the top during agitation its now federal law in the us used to be they just had to lock during spin now they must lock all the time the reason they just don't take them back is lots of times the problems can be in the house so they want a tech to come check it out first hope this helps

Fisher Paykel GWL15 error code 49

The 1.6amp fuse on the board would be blown along with the mosfet's that drive the water valves, not an easy task to replace mosfet's.
Best to get a new motor controller board,
Quote the 6 digit part number under the bar code to get the right part.

Fisher pakel water saver washer stopped early in cycle and is non stop beeping

www.ths.gardenweb.com/forum/laundry

try this website. I found answers to my questions on it that i did not find here.

repairman who came to my house yesterday said manuals are only available on dvd, not in paper anymore.

saw on the other website that you can order FP parts through Sears. have not tried, so don't know if that is reliable. maybe you can order a FP manual through Sears to tell you how to fix your issue.

Fisher & Paykel Out of Balance

I have the Fisher and Paykel model GWL15 and could not be more disapointed with it. It has been leveled more times than I can count, and 9 out of 10 times it goes out of balance and beeps. It takes me 3 hours to do a small load, and that is with me placing every sock and shirt carefully opposite one another. This thing is just pure junk, and it makes me sick to think what I paid for it. I will just place it on the curb and buy a cheap washing machine to replace it. My blood boils every time I come to the basement to check the wash and hear that stupid beep! I love the dryer, but do yourself a huge favor and don't ever buy a Fisher and Paykel product.

Fisher and Paykel Washer Leaking

For those with water on floor after wash, check my post on "eco smart won't drain, smells hot". It could be something clogging drainage area at very bottom of the tub. I couldn't see the sock that was stuck in my FP's drain when I looked from the top between the white outer tub and the wash tub--everything looked fine. Then I removed the black motor/white plastic housing piece--Tip back washer and you should see this black electric motor/white housing on bottom. see my post for how to remove and check for plugged drain. it's really pretty easy.

don't know about outer tub holes, but glad i don't have that problem.

i hate my fisher paykel washer/dryer. i can't wait to sell this house--i will leave them here and get a new front load Duette for my next house!
