Its a "meat probe" not a pushpin. somehow the unit thinkd you hae a meatprobe inserted, soundslike a short in the meat probe jack( usually happens in high moisture areas, the wires swell and make contact with eachother, the replacement jack, has better insulation around the wires, you could also disconnect the wire harness from the main board assy(behind the console, if you never use the function!

I was cooking in my Kitchenaid oven and the door locked. It will not unlock

We had the same thing happen

Turn the oven breaker off, then let the oven cool completely. Turn breaker on, there will be an error code appear, push and hold the "bake" button for at least one minute until an error message appears, then press the off button.
This reset the latch on our oven

Keypad cable unplugged

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).
