Laptop does not work anymore. (Toshiba A135 Satellite)
Okay, my grandma got me this Toshiba A135 Satellite brand new so I used it a little bit, then it started to freeze so I had to reset it. So after that I told my dad so we took it up and they said use the reset disc to reset the computer, now it doesn't work at all. My dad talked top a guy and he said it's the motherboard. Now it's out of it's warranty and I want to know what it coould be.

Go to the Toshiba support site for your country (or the country where the laptop was sold). Select Mobile Computing, then Drivers Download. You will be taken to a page where you select the laptop family (Satellite or Tecra, ...). Select the exact model. A list of available download is displayed. Use the filter at the top right to select All, or Win7 32 bits, or Win7 64 bits. Here is a link to get you started.
There are several places that sell new boards and a few more selling used ones. Ebay has both and is the cheapest by a bit. Then there are laptop repair or parts places that only have new.
You can find which repair or parts store has your mainboard by simply searching for
laptop repair parts
That will get you a few thousand hits (and more) so you should be able to pick someone close to you or that has a good price or warrenty.
If you search for toshiba satellite assembly instruction you should find step by step instructions on how to get the board in and out with out resorting to hammers or explosives. Usually you may find those on the repair parts websites as well. If you have never done one before expect to spend a few hours. The hardest part is getting the top and bottom of the case apart. The rest is pretty straight forward to do.
