Question about Toshiba Satellite P25-S507 Notebook
Hi FixYa Expert,
My Toshiba P25-S507 crashed Windows XP Home edition because of Digital Mode button.
With this computer, you can use the CD player with the PC being off and to do so you press a button called "mode" in front of the unit and the CD player works independently from the PC that stays off; the problem is that if you press it twice it selects "digital mode"; I pressed it twice by mistake and this "digital mode" button launched Windows XP which started booting then got stuck. Ever since, i can't launch Windows properly whatever the mode "Safe mode, last know config..."; it always ends up stuck nowhere... or in DOS.
Anyway I can fix this without re-installing the machine completely (with the recovery disk)?
Thank you!
Fred
If you can boot to a windows CD, you can try a "repair installation" of Windows, this will let you reinstall windows on top of itself, without harming your data:

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!
