Question about HP Compaq nx6110 PC Laptop

Computer wont turn on

I downloaded Internet Explorer 7 on my laptop (The microsoft website said that I had to have it in order to get updates for Windows XP~ I also use Mozilla Firefox) and when I went to restart my computer it would not come back on. I have tested the AC adaptor so I know that it is not a power problem. I was on it earlier today and it was working fine. I didnt have this problem until I downloaded IE and now I cant even get my computer to turn back on to try and fix it. When I hit the power button, the computer does try to come on and then dies again. Please Help!

    M laptop also won't start.

When i press the power button, the green light comes on and i can also hear the system fan but after a fetw seconds it turns off automaticly. The screen doesn't turn on.
I tried puting the battery out and power it only by power cord but when i do that, the computer is totally dead.

Does anyone know what the problem is? I suspect the motherboard is dead but i really hope i am mastaking:)

I am looking forward to hearing some helpful suggestions:)
    Yours sincerly Ales

By "it will not come on" do you mean the laptop gets absolutely no power at all, or it just won't boot into windows.

If the problem is the power, remove the battery for a few minutes then put it back in.

If its the second issue, give me more of a description of what happens when you turn it on.

    Thanks.

Will not open in my microsoft explorer browser

I have Internet Explorer 9 and it came up fine. I tried it first in Firefox, but it gave me the same message you saw. I would recommend updating your version of Internet Explorer, because version 6 is very very old and will have issues such as this. Their website must only be designed for Internet Explorer.

You can update it using Windows Update from your Start menu, or go to Microsoft to download it. I have included the link to Microsoft below.

Tip

Internet Explorer 7 Support

Microsoft no longer supports Internet Explorer 7.

That means you need to update to the latest version, which is IE11.
Download Web Browser Internet Explorer

If you can't do that, please do buy a new computer with Windows 8.1

I need a fix for internet exployer

Microsoft's Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) browser includes "add-on" applications that can be downloaded and installed from Microsoft, or third-party providers, into Internet Explorer.

Occasionally, add-ons may conflict with other add-ons or software on the computer, causing errors.

These can also occur when IE settings conflict with newly installed add-ons.

Resolve add-on related error conditions quickly in IE8 by resetting Internet Explorer to Microsoft defaults.

Click the "Start" button. Click "Run" or "Search," and type "inetcpl.cpl in the "Run" or "Search" box, and press the "Enter" key.

Select the "Advanced" tab in the "Internet Options" window, then click the "Reset" button.

Click the "Reset" button again to confirm that you wish to reset Internet Explorer to Microsoft defaults.

Select the "Close" button, once the display indicates that the reset process has been completed.

Click the red "X" in the upper-right corner of Internet Explorer to close the browser.

Open Internet Explorer and the errors should be resolved.

also

Experience problems with Internet Explorer 7 right off the bat, and it may be due to installation problems.

Make sure you reboot twice after installing the new browser.

Download any updates for IE7.

Check the Microsoft website for recommended updates if you don't have automatic updates turned on for your computer.

Check your add-ons, those "extras" like ActiveX controls for your browser, if you still experience problems.

After accessing "manage add-ons" through the "Tools" menu in your browser window, disable all add-ons, and try browsing.

If you can successfully browse without errors on the page, then one of your add-ons may be the culprit. Enable add-ons one at a time and try browsing.

Once you find the problem, delete it or update the add-on to work with Internet Explorer 7.

Contact Microsoft if a website denies permission for entering when it shouldn't.

It could be a problem with document. domain property or the protocols of the URLs not matching.

Update and run the most recent version of JavaScript. JavaScript is a scripting language used on many websites.

Adjust security settings in the browser if you still experience page error messages.

Select the "Tools" menu and access "Internet Options." Under the "Security" tab, choose "Custom Level" to pull up the security settings window and review for possible problems.

Hope this helps

Partical incompatability-messed up whole computer-freezes,internet messed up-wont let me delete program out-message keeps appearing!!!

I, myself have had nothing but problems when I downloaded Internet Explorer 9! I got rid of it. The best way to get rid of IE 9 once you have downloaded it is to go to Windows Update, click " view update history", click "Installed Updates" and once they all appear, find Windows Internet Explorer 9 ( Under Microsoft Windows, which is below Microsoft Visual C & Microsoft Silver-light 1, among others ) and uninstall it! It is quite very simple and IS the only way to get back to IE 8 ( If that is what you had previously, otherwise it will default to IE 7. BTW, very easy to re-install IE 8! ). For some reason, once you start using Google Chrome browser, it is best to simply avoid Internet Explorer! I use Google Chrome & love it! I also use Mozilla Firefox! Sometimes we must use Windows IE since it is the browser which came with the computer. But I would avoid IE 9 and just not download it again once you are rid of it! No matter how much Windows/Microsoft tells you that you need to download it! Hope you have your computer running efficiently again! arjay8tch (Richard Holt)

How to download a new internet explorer for windows vista ultimate

Hi uymanuel11

UPGRADING TO LATEST VERSION OF INTERNET EXPLORER WITH WINDOWS 7

If you have Automatic Updates enabled, once you are connected to the internet, your computer will automatically download the very latest version of Internet Explorer (this is currently IE9) to your computer during one of the early Automatic Updates downloads and will continue to automatically upgrade it as new versions are launched in future.

You can also go to the official Microsoft IE Downloads and Support website and manually download and install your chosen version of Internet Explorer from there at:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/internet-explorer/downloads/ie-9/worldwide-languages

I hope this helps.

Hello, I have a toshiba satallite u300 laptop. Recently I installed windows 7. And then downloaded all the driver from the toshiba website for windows 7 and installed. But the sound device is not...

You should go to the Microsoft website and search for Windows 7 updates. MS releases updates regularly, so it's a good idea to check there frequently. You can also set your laptop to accept automatic updates from MS.

Internest explorer so to open.

Do Internet Explorer update or use Mozilla Firefox (that is similar to Explorer) instead of Internet Explorer.

Download and reinstall internet Explorer from website below:

Or use mozilla instead of internet explorer:
