Incoming faxes are dark. They keep getting darker by each page faxed. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Open the fron cover & remove the drum.In the drum unit you will see a BLUE knob just move it right to left approx 20 times.
After that fix the drum back & try to copy.

If the problem is same change the drum unit as the cleaning blade of the drum has been damaged

CArtridges are empty. Is that the problem? Does not sen fax or scan onto computer. Comes up with error #1203 please refer to user guide.

Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.

Can send faxes they can read fine but when i get faxes cant read them about a week ago paper jamed in the roller do i need to clean with what product

I assume you talking about a panasonic DP-190? Do not clean the drum you may gently wipe it down, realize the drum puts the image on the paper, nick it, grease from hands, ,etc will effect copy qualilty. Remove the toner cart. clean any toner spilled. Drum may need replacement, print a toner/drum resupply form to see if the machine prints them cleanly

Fax is received is very dark and almost unreadable

You can try using the menu to lighten the fax, but if all received faxes are dark, you may be experiencing a weak scan light. try making a copy instead of fax (which essentially is a fax printed to yourself) if also dark, its certainly your scanning imager that's failing. If that's the case I would recommend replacing the entire machine. Parts are expensive, and its a difficult to service part yourself. Also you may find that toner costs alone may pay for the replacement machine over this unit.

-Good Luck!

Color prints too dark

1. Took out the color ink cart and clean the copper contacts of the ink cart with cotton swab, make sure that you do not touch the silver nozzle .
2. Try new ink color ink carts as someime this issue came up when the ink carts are about to finish up.
3. Replace the ink carts and do not us a refill ink.
