How to open the battery

To remove the battery cover, turn off the phone first. Flip the phone to close it and then locate the back of the phone. Press in and then hold the battery door latch until it reveals the battery.

I am getting a random error message on my Motorola RAZR V3 Celluar phone. It says I should insert the SIM. The message goes away when I reboot, but it reappears. Can anyone help?

Remove the back cover, battery and SIM card. Wipe the SIM and the pins where the SIM card is inserted with a cloth if u can. Reinsert simcard, battery and back cover.

SIMS CARD IN MY RAZR V3.

When you remove the battery cover, the SIM card is in the middle of the phone, sticking out just in front of the battery. You just slide the SIM card out. If you don't see it when you remove the battery cover, you are missing it because the phone definitely uses one.

Where is the sim card in a razr v3

Assuming you have a GSM phone, take off the back cover, remove the battery and you will see a small plastic chip about the size of your thumbnail. This is the SIM card.

If you have a US CDMA phone (and the US has both GSM and CDMA depending on carrier), then you don't have a SIM card.

Voice recorder only

Hey Greg,

It looks to me as if your voice recording button (the long button on the side of the flip) is stuck or defective.

This will need to be sent in for repair as it will involve having to replace the switch flex inside the flip.

Hope this helps,
cHipz

Broken backlight

if you open the v3 phone flip...you shall see 4 rubbers...remove the rubbers with a very small flat bit screw driver then unscrew the 4 screws in the phone then use the small flat bit onc more to open the phone cover, then remove the silver button on each side of the phone, unclip the cable leading to the camera and also the clip connecting to the lcd once those are removed then replace the old screen with the new one.

Problem

Try the phone while plugged in and see what happens.  If it works fine then it's probably the battery or the contacts to the battery.  I've had a problem with my razr that's similar to this.  My razr is on the keys light up when i press something but the screen is completely blank open and closed and all the buttons work.  Best thing to try is leave out with battery and sim card out and it might start working again.  However if it is only 2 months old it should still be covered under warranty.
