Could be a dirty/bad connection with the batteries. Try this: remove the batteries, scrub the terminals with a slightly damp cloth and dry it off. (scrub the little metal parts that the batteries come in contact with.)Then try the batteries again. I hope this helps. Good luck to you.
On the back of the seat on the warning label or on a white sticker. Could also be located on the underside of the seat behind the foot rest on the tubing.
It would help to know the Model Number and the date of manufacture. Look on the back of the high chair seat on the warning label or on a white sticker. Could also be located on the underside of the seat behind the foot rest on the tubing.
One you have the Model Number and the date of manufacture go to the following website and enter the inormation requested. The instruction manual should be free.
You need to remove the center of the part the connects to the chair. Use a thin screwdriver to pry it out a little, slide the screwdriver into the center and then pry each of the two tabs outward from the center. As you unhook it, you will be able to pry it out and then the attachment mechanism will pull off.
I assume you are referring to the Matrix Pro Car Seat that lays flat? You can fit this in two different ways. To fit it sitting upright, make sure it is in the most upright position and facing the back of the car. Pass the lap belt underneath the car seat itself, through the blue catches, then plug it in. The long part of the seat belt goes around the back of the car seat through the blue catch nearest you. Pull it all really tight and it should be more secure. To fit the car seat laying flat, this depends on your car. It needs to use two 3 point seat belts. 2 point seat belts don't work. Plug in both seat belts, and pull the lap belt part through the silver catch on both side. Pull as tight as you can. To make car seat fitting more secure, try placing a slip mat like the Sunshine Kids Grip It or Super Mat underneath to hold it in place. These are all crash tested and safe.
I would contact Chicco directly, by Googling Chicco and selecting the website for the country you live in, or pop into a local Chicco stockist who should be able to order in the spare part for you. Make sure you know which model it is, there are quite a few Chicco high chairs. I wouldn't know how much it would cost though, I doubt it would be expensive.
