Please remove shipping lock from yellow cartdrige

I try to install my new HP CM1312 MFP and already removed all 4 lock at the toner but the printer screen apprear "Please remove shipping lock from yellow cartdrige". What should i do?

I'm not sure this will apply to all instances of this, but we had the same problem on a CP1515n. I tried cleaning contacts and waving the cartridge about, to no avail.

I then found a message from an HP employee in another forum saying to swap the yellow with another colour, start the machine and then swap them back. I swapped it with the magenta and the printer went through quite a long initialization process eventually saying "incorrect supplies". I swapped them back and it worked.

    Dear Friends, before i have same problem with magenta cartridge showing error to remove shipping lock, today i read the comments from this fixya to replace yellow on magenta and I did same then press ok to reset the cartridge then screen show incorrect installation then I again replace in right place then press ok to reset then its work. Really this is useful. Thanks lot.

I had same problem and googled it and found this solution
As per above I have swapped the cartridges around
Firstly the message "Magenta in wrong place" came up but
I persevered and swapped around again and after a loooooonnnng
initialization IT WORKED and started printing
Clearly its just something HP have to stop people using compatibles which I guess it qutie common and designed to make you give up and pay the much higher price for originals

Thank you guys so much! I knew the problem had something to do with the fact that my office manager insists on the refillable cartiridges instead of the brand new ones, just didn't know how to fix it until I googled it and found this solution. And it WORKED!

If you hold cartridge, label reading towards to. On your right hand there is a little whilte tab. If you push it with your thumb, it will pop a little black tab. do it few times, blow little air if you have the air duster. Intall it and you should be fine.

I had the same problem where it said to remove shipping lock. I noticed a small silver tab missing when I compared the cartridges, I removed two screws from the old cartridge, removed the silver tab, needed to bend back into shape and installed on replacement cartridge and it worked.

I had the same problem...bought a new CP2025 Color LaserJet and when I purchased a new black cartridge after the initial toner that came with printer ran out I also got this error. I bought a new HP Toner cartridge so I took it back and said it was defective and got a new one which worked fine.

Do you have a CD to install this printer? if you do go into MY COMPUTER where you can erase things and erase the printer and its system then shut computer off and restart then reinstall the printer using your CD to reinstall it. Some times you have to delete things and reinstall them to work.

HOW DO I un-lock the scanner on a Brother MFC 7420?


Unfortunately, the MFC-7420 doesn't have a physical lock switch. You need to turn off the all-in-one and wait for the unit to clear its memory. If the error recurs after you press the power button again, wait 30 minutes and try again. (Note: you will lose any faxes that are in memory. See the User Guide page 11-5 to save this information.) Then click on the Manuals on our Online Solution Center for the English version of the manual. You can also try unplugging the all-in-one for several minutes to reset the error codes. If the error persists, contact Brother if the MFC-7420 is still under warranty (1 year). If it isn't under warranty, consider replacing the unit. The repair costs may be unreasonable.

Bizhub C250 using to much toner. Images are very dark. Ink can even be rubbed off pages. How do you adjust?


Check that the fuser is not in enevople mode. two green handle up not down. check the files

Colour cyan not printing


Did all of the packaging come off the toner successfullywhen first installing. Can you see cyan toner on the transfer roller? (Black roller on actusl cartridge)?

Hp laserjet m1522f error 5 turn off and on


Hi, Error 5 is a Scanner error. When turning the printer on, have the lid up so you can watch the scanner movement. Does it move smoothly? It should go through a warm up and you should be able to watch the scanner movement. If there is a problem with the scanner, there isn't a lot you could do except. The service manual says the scanner assembly should be replaced. If it was my printer, I would try to take a closer look at the scanner assembly and check to see if the scanner unit is bound up somewhere, or maybe a drop of 3 in 1 oil on the scanner rails. Let us know what happens.

Problem installing drivers for HP 4355 printer in vista 32bit OS


Vista OEM Cd usually doesnt come with drivers.

Printer should have come with its own cd which contains both the software & drivers.

If it didn't come with any
You can try using windows update
or
downloading drivers from hp site

HP printer psc 2210 all in one


Chances are that you didn't lock down the scanner when you moved the unit. You can attempt to open the unit and move the scanner bar manually to reset it. HPs are very difficult beasts when it comes to their power up check out. It must be fully functional...including all cartridges...to work in most cases. Good luck.
