Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I have a 30 yr old Pioneer stereo tuner/amp (SX550) in good shape except when it is first turned on, it "sputters" the light on the dial flickers and after a few minutes it stops this madness and actually works. Years ago it did this only briefly when switched on. I am guessing that it is a faulty capacitor and would like to find it and replace it myself. Would appreciate any help regarding this.
I own a few Pioneer SXseries recievers..I repair these and others like them in my own business.
What it needs is new power supply capacitors. Parts are cheap. Labor is a couple hours

The problem is the power switch
