Water level in drum too high resulting in water splashing over and leaking on to floor. does anyone know how to fix this? diagrams or pictures would help
If the
water flows though the inlet then the flow pressure should be good, if not the
inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the
inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL
SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level
to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is
most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must
be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for
rinse and wash. Test a
pressure switch: Click on : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZZ2bDMspj8 Check this

SOURCE: kenmore front loader keeps filling water in drum and will not stop
Plug off the wall. Open up behind, you will find a thin tube going from the pump area to the control point. This is the water level tube; untie this tube from above & blow into it, it should be free, if not free remove the blockage, see that it is not twisted, insert carefully. Or replace. This shd fix your water level problem.

SOURCE: Water splash sheild ineffective
My machine may be a different model, but seems to have similar problems. I resolved this by: a) making sure the splash shield is fastened correctly at all points round the tub (it worked loose) b) as a temporary fix reversed the foam gasket inside the splashshield until I get a new one
SOURCE: Water leaking from bottom
Replace water pump. Common problem. Unscrew the control panel ,two screws on each end. Flip control panel over and unsnap gold brackets from base to the back. Lift up housing and disconnect lid switch, remove housing. The water pump is in the front lower that has two hoses , disconnect hoses and unsnap pump. My sister fixed hers in about 25 minutes.
SOURCE: At start of spin cycle water splashes over top and runs down.
Hi, just fixed the daughters speed queen, same problem. The three brake shoes were worn allowing the tub to spin with the agitator.
replaced the shoes, washer fine. At first I thought it was the top ring. spent 30 dollars for nothing.
good luck
SOURCE: Have a LG Tromm wm2688hnm and is leaking water?
If leaking from the bottom it could be a number of things and you would have to remove the back panel to start. Then do the rinse and spin and using a flashlight try to locate the leak. Have towels handy. For us, in our 5 yr old LG - the bellow (the black large tube connected to underneath the tub) had holes in it. A $10.00 part online.
