Question about Acer Aspire 5315 Notebook
Device has a red light. Originally, I had to re-install the os to this laptop. So, I not for sure if the device is bad or if I just need to re-install the drivers for this device.
Is this external or internal?
A driver reinstall is a good idea. Is windows managing the device? If not switch off the other software and check that windows starts managing it.
Is the device installed at all? Check by going (using XP) click: Start> Control Panel> System> Hardware> Device manager To do so using XP click: Start> Control Panel> System> Hardware> Device manager, and find your wireless card usually under network connections.
You can get a new (likely to be faster and longer range) card on ebay for £6. might save you the worries. I did the same recently.
Hope this helps Tom,
