I just started having that problem. After about 10 minutes of using my Xbox 360, most of the black color becomes green. I also have a Samsung 4061. Is it the Xbox or the T.V? I hope its the Tv. I have the extended warranty from Bestbuy and hopefully I can return it. I am using the regular av cables not the hdmi cables. Am i wasting my money if i buy new cables?
Thanx

I have teh same problem. I am using XBOX 360 Elite and Samsung LN-T4661F. At first I thought it was the cheap XBOX HDMI cable that came with the XBOX, but I replace with a Monster Cable and still experience the same problems.

I have the same exact problem. I own a Samsung 4065 and my screen flickers green or goes black and the sound also cuts out sometimes. I'm not sure if it is my tv or if it is the xbox. When I turn the tv on and off everything is ok again. My xbox 360 pro was built 10/07 so it is one of the newer models. This issue is not limited to elite only

Having the same issue with a Samsung 4065 and XBox Elite using HDMI. Sound will occassionally cut out too. Whitesox, I have no idea what you mean by your "solution" if anyone else knows what the issue is and how to resolve thanks!

Back again. There is thread on CNET about this as well. My TV has made it's third trip to the repair shop, and Samsung is definitely aware of this problem on 4065F and 4665F LCD TV's manufactured in 2007.

I tried multiple cables and multiple input devices (XBox360 Elite, PC DVItoHDMI, and Scientifc Atlanta DVR with HDMI) all with different cables, all with the flickering.

The only known solution is to have the main board replaced (this should still be under warranty (1 year)) if not they still might replace it. It would cost about 250 in parts and 250 in labor.

If they do not install it correctly (since the boards come from factory and need to be adjusted) the picture will be too dark. Tell them they need to contact Samsung to get the instruction manual for board replacement.

I got my TV back and it has shown no signs of green flickering or signal dropping.

Problem solved....

I had the same issue myself up until last week and the problem hasn't happened since. I too was experiencing the immensely annoying flickering and stuttering but all you need to do is replace the HDMI cable....

check out play.com for cheap ones - it cost me £12.99 and it's all sorted now.

If extended may mean 4:3, it could be your TV trying to reformat the image and sometimes just NOT being able to saty shiny at the 10000:1 contrast and keep up with the processing. Also: if you arent using HDMI you need to. Direct to the TV.

The last thing i can think of is if you are running Audio into the TV also, and dont have external speakers there could be some processing issue. Keep me posted on how this helps i have an HDTV and Elite so can try various things. Contact me!

Hope this helps!!!

I have the elite - and I have the same problem - also with a Samsung LCD HDTV. My brother has a similar Samsung LCD HDTV I ran it down at his house for an hour and did not see the same phenomenon. Not sure what to do just yet.
