F you get sound but not picture, clearly it is not PSU .

First leave the tv unplugged for one or two hours.

If you still no video on all conditions, then there is an internal fault.

Faults that can give you lamp on but no video are color wheel and DMD board .

Try to start The TV stand alone, if you get no video but sound you can try reinstalling the lamp, if still no luck , the video must be tested by a technician to fix the fault.

Can you force any kind of a service menu to come up on the screen? We need to confirm if it's a "projection" issue, or if it's a signal issue.

If you are running rgb cables, you will need to connect the video cable as well for the complete visual effect. i would check all my wires that involve sound and picture that are coming from the dvd/b-ray disc player. if you are running a digital set up then, you should do the same. you may have your sound wires plugged into the right socket but, without the video wire in the video socket, you will hear sound but, no video.

You must determine if the loss of picture is loss of the raster (a high voltage problem) or loss of the video (a video processor problem). If there are raster lines but no picture you should be looking in the high voltage section for something that has failed; burned resistor, etc.

If it has raster lines, but no vidoe, you should be looking on the main big board around the jungle IC or any of the ICs for defective components. Of course, if it is an IC itself you will not see any defective parts; it has to be tested.

From your description of the symptoms, it seems the high voltage is the problem area as the three projection tubes flash on, but don't stay on......

Just change the bulb few month ago and the screen in the lower center starting to get dark working it way up to the top

Hi, did you make sure it was the right lamp the reason is that theres two types of lamp one that shoots the light wider and another that concentrates on the center. Also check the ballast the main power of the bulb it comes to happen that when u put in a new bulb the ballast is not able to provide enough power to light up the whole screen.

Lamp needs to bereplaced,,,,, tv jvc model 61z886, need to know model of lamp i need and where to buy it

Google "DLP lamp" and you'll get many places from which to order lamps. Go to one of these sites and they should have a search box. Enter your model number and it should give you the part number of your lamp. Try several sites if the first one doesn't give you what you need to know. Once you have your lamp number you can shop the various sites for the best price. Note: You can buy your lamp complete (with the housing it comes in),..... or just the bulb and replace the bad one in the housing (cheaper)..... if you have the skills needed. If not buy it complete with housing. If you change the bulb only,.. don't touch it with your bare hands. Most bulb only packages come with rubber gloves.

61 inch projection tv flashing on and off

The most common problem with JVC LCD rear projection TV is bulb failure. Do not panic, this is normal after 2-5 years of use.

You can change the complete assembly or for less cost just change the bulb. Do not use Osram or other funny brand "rebuilt" or locally made bulb. Use a Philips replacement and all should be good.

Changing the bulb involves removing the lamp assembly and taking it apart like a puzzle and replacing the bulb. JVC are a little more difficult to do than most others because the wires on the original bulb are molded into the glass on the original bulb. Wires must be cut and stripped of insulation before connecting to the new bulb.

All JVC LCD Rear projections TVs use TSCL110 TSCL110U TS-CL110U Lamps.
