SOURCE: lg model 42pm4m plasma monitor won't turn on, red

Does the tv make a clicking noise like its trying to turn on before the tv goes into standby and the LED starts flashing? I suspect this is due to a shorted component, most likely to be in the 5V(switching) line and just want to be a bit certain before we start testing the power supply.

SOURCE: tv won't turn on it keeps clicking and the red

Hi rschutt01,

This kind of symptoms is an indication of out-of-regulation condition on the power supply board(this is where the power cord's directly connected). It is caused by leaky/dried electrolytic capacitor. It will dropped the normal working voltage of the power supply and disable the unit.

Leaky electrolytic capacitor has a physical indication of fault like bulged/dome at the top and can be easily identify through visual inspection. If your unit is not under warranty period, take off the rear cover and inspect the capacitors on the output of the power supply board. Once found replaced it with same capacitance and working voltage that is printed on its body itself. Upgrade to higher working voltage is another option. Watch the video below for more info regarding electrolytic capacitors.

Dried electrolytic capacitor has no physical indication of fault. You must have a capacitor checker to determine its condition and pinpoint the faulty one. If not available, you may replace all electrolytic capacitor on the output of the power supply, it will not cost you much because this is one of the cheapest part on this board. Another option is to replace the entire power supply board for your convenient, it will not required any soldering. Click this LINK for the replacement. I would advice you to double check the actual part no. of your board that is printed on the white sticker on the board itself to ensure you will get the right replacement upon purchasing.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.

SOURCE: TV won't turn on. flashes a series of 5 red lights instead of turning green

Usually Sony and LG Blinking Codes are the same. Here is what I have.

  • Unit is dead, No blinks - Problem in the standby power section. Might check fuse,
  • Continuous blink once a second, no pausing - No reply from the jungle IC301 (data bus is busy, shorted to ground, or held high), IK video path is defective.
  • One blink - not used for the self-diagnosis
  • Two blinks - B+ over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.
  • Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit,
  • Four blinks - No vertical Deflection (V STOP), Screen goes to a single horizontal line then the video signal muted.
  • Five blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.
  • Six blinks - No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking self-diagnosis function immediately.
  • Seven blinks - High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits.
  • Eight blinks - Problem with the audio (AUDIO), unit goes to standby and blinks the self-diagnosis code.
  • Nine blinks - Panel Module Error or Thermal Error. If it is intermittent 9 blinks, meaning sometimes the TV comes on and other times you get flashing Make sure the regulator is -12 or -13 (negitive).
  • Ten blinks - Check Q8014 and Q8013 for shorts, leakage, or bad solder connections on the " D" board. If the transistors are bad, check R8051 and IC8005, also on the "D" board.

My indesit washing machine 12 hundred keeps flashing blue and red lights and won't do anything

Possible that the suspect could be the controller board, you can switch the machine off power for sometime, check the power outlet for the correct voltage. If not the front panel must be removed to check on the board and a possible fault of the processor or memory.

Headlight blue light is flashing and won't do anything else

If you hold down the power button (and keep holding!) while wearing the headphones, you will hear three beeps (keep holding! If you lift your finger, you have wait a moment to start over) followed after a moment by two beeps. If you do this while the headset is NOT on, it will enter the "discoverable" mode and the lights should flash red/blue red/blue. If you do this while the headset is on, the second set of beeps sounds a little different, and those tones mean the headset is turning off.

The "manual" (a single sheet of paper) for this device is a joke, and website technical support is nonexistent.

When I first purchased mine, despite the poor instructions, I was satisfied, due to the low price. But I've only had the device for less than a month, and I've only used it three times, and suddenly I can't get it to pair with my laptop or my phone, though it had worked find a couple of weeks ago, last time I used it.

Sometimes you get what you pay for, I guess. Disappointing.

MY VOYAGER PRO .. LIGHT FLASHES BLUE RED BLUE RED ... CAN'T TURN OFF, CAN'T RESET, CAN'T RE PARE

If you manually turn the headset off, make sure that it is by itself, no other phones in the area, no WiFi hotspots. Once this is done make sure that there is not a bluetooth already installed on the phone itself, if there is, delete it. Make sure that the headset has a full charge. Try the pairing again. If this still won't work, you can try Plantronics Tech service line 800-544-4660.
