Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer
I have a 13 year old whirlpool washing machine. It has recently started to act up when I use the normal wash cycle. It will simply stop when it is about to switch from the aggitation to the next cycle. It does not always happen and there are no problems with any of the other cycles (delicate, permanent press etc). To get it to work again it requires that the knob be turned all the way around and restarted in the same place - sometimes this has to be done several times until the machine starts up again.
Sounds like the timer has given up. I bet if you just barely turn it, it will continue.
It's a common problem with timers like this.
