Is it a 2 or 4 channel amp???? Does it have a lpf (low pass filter)??? If its a four channel it prolly wont sound too great. If its a 2 channel you need to bridge sub to amp. Usually its the 2 outside terminals on the amp. Might have a diagram on the bottom of amp
Use good quality wires-- the cost is the factor for high connectivity with low resistance- You can bridge the two sub's in parallel to the 2 ohms output of the amp. Please be careful to see the likeness of polarity of the subs to the amp. or lese you will get a phase difference resulting in poor low frequncy.
You cant bridge it to the MONO AMP . You can only bridge subs & speakers to 2 CH & 4 CH AMPS that are bridgeable. Because if it appears that there is 2 channels on a Mono amp its so its convenient for you to hook up 2 4ohm subs to it easily But both channels are actually connect internally together in parallel inside the amp unlike a 2 channel they are separate.
So just connect your mtx 9500 to a plus and a minus and doesnt matter which since all the + terminals of are connected together and - are connected together already.
Whats important is on the side of the sub/box it reads 2 ohms. The lower the ohms the more power the Mono amp will put out. Mono amps are designed to handle 2ohm loads.
If it reads 4ohms The MONO amp is the wrong amp to use cause the power will be weaker. So if you have a 1000 Watt Mono amp at 4ohms the sub will only get 500 WATTS Max while a 2 ohm will get the full 1000 Watts.
If it reads 4 ohms connect it to a 2CHANNEL AMP and BRIDGE IT (connect + of the sub to 1st channels positive of the amp then connect - of the sub to 2nd channels negative of the amp) . The power will be doubled when you bridge it on a 2 channel amp. NOW if it was a 2 ohm sub and you bridged it to the 2 channel amp it will fry the subs and ruin the amp. 2 CHANNELS CANT TAKE A 2OHM LOAD BRIDGED OK.
run two 6x8s on each of the front channels of the amp. then depending on the sub you can bridge it on the rear channels.only if its a single four ohm. if its a dual 2 ohm sub run each coil on each channel. 1 coil-1channel. the other coil-the other channel. amp should run fine may run a little hot since it will be doing all it can do at a safe ohm load. just make sure it is mounted in a well vented area. should be safe.
Max 200 W. You could bridge 2 channels of a 4 channel amp (or get a 2 ch amp and bridge it) and connect the sub. Bridging = connect + of sub to + of one channel, and connect - of sub to - of *other* channel. Check amp manual for instructions.
Don't get a mono - most are 300W or more - might burn the coil during loud passages.
I'm assuming this atleast a 2 channel amplifier all you need to do is hook the negative side of the speaker wire coming from the sub to the negative channel one. and the positive to another positive on channel 2. Should indicate on your amplifier channel one and two. most amps provide a diagram right on the amplifier over top of the speaker inputs. let me know if this helps.
That all depends upon whether or not the sub you are running has dual voice coils or just a single voice coil. The 800a4 is a four channel amp; thus the only way you can bridge it will be 3 channel or 2 channel. If you are running a dual voice coil sub then you can wire the amp two channel and get 400 watts x 2 @ 4 ohms. Make sure that you sub can handle this kind of power though.

Your amp, being a 2-channel amp, should have 2 speaker connections with a negative sign(-) and 2 with positive signs(+)...Take your speaker wires (You will need 4 of them) and twist the ends of 2 of the together and put them into the negative spot on 1 side of your amp. Assuming you have 2 subs, connect them 1 to each sub and be sure they are on the negative sides of the subs or both are on the same side of the subs. Then do the same with the positive leads except to put them in the positive spot on the opposite side of the amp. So you will have the negatives from one side's outputs (or channel 1) and the positives from the other side's outputs (channel 2). Thus, your amp will be "bridged" across both channels. I can't find any documentation for your amp; it was made when Jensen was owned by Recoton, and they're no longer in business. With any 4-channel amp, you can't bridge all four channels into a single channel. What you can do, if you're connecting it to a single sub, is to bridge two of the channels into one channel and leave the other two channels unused.
It doesn't usually matter which two channels you pick, but some 4-channel amps designate channels 3 and 4 (or rear channels) for the subwoofer. Whichever ones you use should have a "LPF" or "LP" crossover setting available.
