this is assuming you are using windows and have already tryed add/remove programs in control panel.
Download and Install CCleaner. run it then try again, if it still wont uninstall, delete the yahoo messenger folder under program files on your C drive, run ccleaner again, use the uninstall tool delete the yahoo messenger entry, then run the registry cleaner.
This problem occurs especially because you opened another program that uses your webcam. You should close
any other program that might be using your webcam because a simple
webcam can only interact with one program. If it doesn't work, try
reinstalling it / then messenger with another version. If you are satisfied, please rate or/and leave a testimonial. Thanks!

In order to use the video call feature both parties have to be in Yahoo Messenger 10. If you both have Yahoo you can use the webcam If you are cross chatting - eg Messenger X MSN, only basic IM will be available
The problem could be the speed of the internet and also could be the computers memory. Try to reduce the size of the web cam window and also the speed and drop down the quality in the messenger. Try to use only messenger when using web cam not other programs. If this doesn't work try to reinstalling the yahoo messenger.
first remove the program from control panel/add remove programs. then download and install this free utility >> http://www.ccleaner.com/ run cleaner and registry. after you're done, reinstall Yahoo Messenger. hope this helps.
