I stupidly tried to unlock my samsung G600 to open it from orange to o2. Not only did it not work fully, but i have also lost my original imei number. It is now all zeros. Hadn't even used phone yet as was xmas present. dying to try it out but cant seem to reset it. Please, please someone help, I'm desperate - (and skint, so hopefully no shop!). thanks!

The unlock code 7337 does not work for all the phones. Every IMEI number has the unique unlock code. You need to get the unlock code through online..........i will suggest the website http://www.unlock-zone.com/ which is doing good service .....you can approach this website. This site is nearly perfect and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums. I used them to unlock my cell phone. contacted them and within 30 mins i had my unlock code and my phone was unlocked. Hope this helps.
Changing the IMEI on a handset is illegal in a lot of countries, even if it is just changing it back to the original IMEI...
There is Pro equipment available that can unlock these and correct the IMEI, you can purchase equipment like NSPro box to do this, or you can take it to a shop who may do this for you, however as I said it could be illegal depending on where you are and you will probably end up paying more than how much it would have cost to unlock the handset... There arent any codes that allow you to change the IMEI number back
you will need to reflash the phone with a clean version of the firmware. it appears the unlocking solution did not work properly. it should not have changed the imei. the imei is how the phone communicates with the carrier. i would go to some place that you can stick another sim in it and see if the sim is bad. but chances are the solution to unlock bricked the phone. Reflash it and use an unlock code from a reputable company.
I have just tried it with my new locked to orange g600 and it works fine on all networks.
1-Turn on the phone without sim card . 2-Pull off the battery cover and insert any non-accepted sim card (without turning off the handset) 3-Do full reset *2767*3855# , phone will reboot and goes to Menu . 4-Customize Sp-lock code *7465625*638*00000000*00000000# 5-Unlock your phone with new SP code #7465625*638*00000000# 6-Enjoy G600 unlocked if it doesn't work after step 3.. try changing the 'non-accepted' sim card that ur putting in.. eg if you are locked to vodafone and you try this method and use an orange sim card and it doesn't work, try using a o2 sim or even virgin :) its easygood luck
You may try default phone and security code to remove restrictions.
ur defalt phones codes is 12345 or 00000 u can use it
Default 4 Digit user code: 1234 or 0000
Default 6 Digit Security code: 123456 or 000000
Type *#06# at the mobile screen to know IMEI no of your mobile.
send the IMEI no to me and i will reply you with unlocking code.
IF Problem not Solved So
Please New Software install in the Phone Problem will Solved
switch the phone on without a sim card, type in *2767*2878# WAIT for it to reset, once it boots up itself, the phone code is now gone, if the phone is asking for a SIM LOCK password then send it to someone who has the equipment to unlock it
So if i want to go with O2, just ask them?
Ta V much by the way, promp respone! - excellent!
exact same problem...any ideas ppl?
