I turned on my tv today it was working fine then turned off so i thought the plug came out enough to shut it off but i turned it back on and had no picture but still had sound. ive had it for 25 months so no longer has warranty. it is a 42" lg plasma. i did try the s video and av in and still had no picture but still sound. so im wondering if its something i can fix myself or somehow i could temporary it to get picture til i get someone to look at it?
Hello nothing_can_& 20204050, My name is Dave, Are you willing or able to remove the back cover from the TV? If so do you know how to use a DMM (digital multimeter) or at least know some one that dose? My reason for all the questions is in order to figure out what PCB board is bad you need to at least test the fuses on all the main PCB boards (Y sus, Z sus and Main power supply). To do this you will need to have a DMM that can test for continuity. Most of the time the bad board in the TV will have a bad fuse on the board. Please feel free to give me a call or message me if you have any questions or if you would like some additional help! Ask for Dave @ 1-503-432-9904 / email@example.com
