    When you hit Start to
cook, do the inside light and turntable come on?

    Any unusual noises? Is
it louder or quieter than usual?

We have a sound clip of what a microwave should sound like when the cooling fan and high voltage section are operating here.

    What is the model number?

Rather confused, how did you get to changing the magnetron and what tests did carry out.
if the proper test procedure had been carried out
you would know exactly what was wrong.
I presume you have changed the power circuit protection fuse?

Oven seems to work fine, but does not heat

The magnatron is not working. This is what creates the heat. You will need to replace it or get a new oven. Magnatrons run anywhere from around 30.00 to 100.00 dollers.

My plate does not always spin, microwave seems to be working when plate spins otherwise it just make noise but doesn't heat up. When I move plate manually it sometimes help, so I replaced electric motor...

The heating issue is related to the high voltage fuse and the magnatron assembly as well as checking the high voltage cao and the protective diode if the unit has one. As for the spinning dish u neeed to make sure the voltage of the new motor is the same as the old one. otherwise u may have issues with the motor not being able to spin efficiently. Good luck.

It is not heating food.

I'd suspect the following to be at fault.

1. The Diode, easy to replace and easy to test. Not user servicable though.
2. The capacitator is no longer capable of storing a charge, easy to test, easy to replace. Warning: All capacitators must be properly discharged before working on them. Serious injury can result otherwise. This too is not user servicable.

3. The magnatron - same as the above, not user servicable but fairly easy to test and replaced. You can use a multi-tester, ohmmeter/voltmeter

I will say, the least likely is the magnatron and the most likely is the Diode. Capacitators and magnatrons do not die to easily.

If it making a louder than normal humming or grunting sound when operating, than it's a sure bet it's the MAG.

GE spacemaker xl1800 and Pop tarts bad mix

it sound to me as if the high voltage diode is shorted. It could be inside the capacitor or out board the cap. The capactor could also be short but this is a rarity. Diodes are a cheep item . repace it and if it don't work its probably the magnatro. good luck.

Not heating

Either the magnatron or the high-voltage capacitor and diode. Replace the capacitor and diode then if still not working, replace the magnatron. Its only affordable if you do it yourself - buy the part on EBAY - lookup "universal magnatron"
Hope ya fix it!

Won't heat. Everything else works.

Magnatron is suspect. Need to put a voltmeter on it and see if the input (primary) side to the high-voltage transformer (big heavy iron thing in there) is getting 120Vac. Don't touch the other (high voltage) side of this transformer. If the power is there, you are looking at replacing the magnatron. Its affordable if you do it yourself - buy the part on EBAY - lookup "universal magnatron"

DeLonghi combined microwave/grill/oven.

Found this posted in GE instead of DeLonghi but the basics are the same.

You say it stopped working - you mean it runs but doesn't heat?
