This message is not a standard error message. This might be a virus infection. Does this message come up on all the songs?
If not then delete the song that comes up with this message.

Synchronize or refesh

If you downloaded your music for a service such as Rhapsody, \Napster, etc, and let your subscriptino lapse, it will give you this message.

Also, if you ripped songs from a CD, and selected the option to add media usage rights (it is unchecked by default), it added an unwanted license to the player that will give you problems such as these. If this is the case, right-click the song, select Properties, and look at the Media Usge Rights/License/or other similar tab and deselect the license (if it will let you). If it doesn't allow you to deselect the license, you will have to redownload the songs. Songs in mp3 format are the best, and you will not give you such headaches.

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Mp3 Player YP-U2 build error

I had this problem and I found the solution.

The problem is that you have a file, maybe in the half of your playlist, which is bugged or corrupted. Try to delete every single files and put them one by one to find out which file is bugged.

there is a way to reset the firmware to a more stable update, or rather an older firmware. Im not sure where to get the download but I do know that you access a debug menu by turning hold on, then press and hold the menu and record buttons to refresh the database with a new firmware. *WARNING* if you find the file to restore it, it will erase all of your previous files.
