Auto Setup automatically searches for the right code for
your DVD player. For the most popular DVD player models, Auto-Setup takes a few
minutes or less, however, less-common models can take much longer or this
method may not work at all.
Find the Auto-Setup instruction page
in the on-screen Setup Guide. Your DVD player must be on the
Auto-Setup instructions for this method to work properly.
Engage Auto-Setup mode: Hold down
the Red button until the setup light turns off. Continue holding the Red
button and press the Yellow button three times, then release both buttons.
If you’ve done this correctly the light will turn back on and remain on
until setup mode is exited. When the setup light remains on, the
controller is in setup mode.
Wait for a message from your DVD
player. Even though you can’t see anything happening, the controller
is actually loading and testing various codes. When the right code is
found, your DVD player will tell you to press the Home button. If your
player doesn’t respond within about 10 Minutes or the time on the estimate
chart, press the Home button to exit this method, and use the Direct Entry
When the DVD player instructs you to
press the Home button, be sure to do so before the onscreen timer runs
out. If you miss pressing the Home button before the timer runs out,
go ahead and wait until a message from the DVD tells you what to do. If
you have not yet pressed the Home button, the DVD will instruct you to
press the Back button to back up to the code you missed.
The quick code for an emerson dvd player is 44
If that doesn't work the manual setup codes are 043 or 059
If the above fails, try a Manual Setup using the Additional Manual Setup Codes below, when prompted -
1. Start Manual Setup by pressing MENU on your DVD player remote control during the Setup process. Select “Manual Setup” from the menu and follow the instructions on screen. 2. When prompted, try the first three-digit code from the list of Additional Manual Setup Codes, below. 3. If the above fails, try the next three-digit code in the list, and so on.
Honestly I couldn't get it to work with my xbox, and so i went out and bought a dvd player that was listed in the book!! and all 6 codes for the manual DID NOT WORK>
I am really frustrated. a CHILD'S TOY should not be so complicated!!!! >:(
The above link is from leapfrog and posts all of their known dvd codes. Unfortunately, yours is not listed.
Did a bit of research and it looks like the Venturer is a budget off-brand made by Alco who also makes Toshiba. So I would suggest trying the Toshiba code first (which is "57") or else calling the leapfrog customer service number located on their website.
