Question about Adobe PageMaker 7.0 for PC
A friend offered me his software,( PageMaker 7.0, LiveMotion, GoLive 5.0, Photoshop 6.0 and illustrator 9.0), for a decent price. He says since it was only installed once, I can install it on my system. Is this true? The price is right and I'd like to buy it, but I don't know if I can believe him.
No it isn't true. First of all, PageMaker is ancient, discontinued, and unsupported by Adobe. They have replaced it with InDesign. GoLive is also defunct, Adobe discontinued it when they bought out competitor's product DreamWeaver. Adobe does allow purchaser's of their Creative Suites to install one license at work and one license at home provided that they are both on machines that are used only by the same person and never at the same time. None of this would apply in this instance. Sorry for the bad news, but I deal with these licensing issues on a regular basis at my job and I have to tell you that your friend is misinformed. You can look up the licensing yourself for any of these products at Adobe's website, if he insists, tell him to "show you".
