Re: Mail from Yahoo!

First check if you are connected to the internet .Maybe the iphone is blocking it because of your privacy settings! if it still doesnt work you may want to go to the nearest Apple Store for help or visit

My yahoo mail account was hacked and now my 3g phone won't send email

You probably need to change your yahoo email password using either the web browser on your phone or better still on your computer (easier to navigate yahoo on computer) Once you have reset your password, you will need to go back into your settings menu on the iPhone and change your password in the phone settings in order to access your email again.

Can received & read but cannot send yahoo mail from iphone

First step is try reseting the network settings. You can do this by going to settings/general/reset and reset network settings.
This will drop you off the network and reset your phone. Bringing your phone back up with current network settings.
Try sending mail. If this doesn't work, try changing your outgoing mail server.
Go into settings/mail, contacts, and calendars/(your yahoo account)/Outgoing mail server.
This will bring you to a list of mail servers, your primary server being the yahoo server with the AT&T smtp server under other.
Click on your primary yahoo server and switch this server to off. click the blue smtp arrow on the very top left. This will bring you back to the server list. go to the AT&T smtp server and turn this server on.
Go ahead and exit out either by the arrow or the home button.
Access your yahoo account see if you can send mail.

Push email

There is no push feature for Yahoo. It's a web based e-mail driven system just like hotmail and Google is. It can be used in Yahoo chat software as well if you have that feature on your Iphone.

The software might have changed in the Iphone but I know some users on this site complained that there was only one email account available per phone. I don't know if that was an Apple thing or an AT&T thing.

The G1 has a push feature for Google Mail but thats because Google software resides on the phone.

I believe in Yahoo you can forward the e-mail to another e-mail account. If you had it forward to another e-mail account on your phone that is pushing that would be the only work around.

Setting up a new email account

firstly you will need a account with either yahoo mail, google mail, .mac mail or AOL mail, when you have got one of those accounts you need to seti it up on your iphone, to do this go into "mail" on your iphone, it will display the 4 mail service providors then click on the one you signed up for like yahoo mail for example, it will show 4 boxs to fill so fill in each box and then click save in the small box, then your ready to send and receive your mail.

I can't send a picture to my email from iphone

if you are using Yahoo Mail and set up the account automatically with your iPhone/iTouch, you will get this error message whenever you try to email a photo. The solution is to set up the Yahoo mail account manually like you would any other POP account. I tried it after receiving that same error messaqe over and over and this seems to have fixed the problem. The issue isn't with the iPhone/iTouch, it is with Yahoo. Hope this helps
