Bonjour, je viens de rinstaller ma machine gateway ms 6124 et le controleur video (VGA) ne marche pas si quelqu'un peut m'aider.merci d'avance.

(Cliquez ici pour le fran?ais!)Have you reinstalled the proper VGA drivers? The following link will bring you to the Gateway website providing the drivers for your machine. You may want to uninstall the VGA drivers that are currently on the machine. You can do this by right-clicking My Computer and going to Manage. From there go to the device manager. Right click the video device and click uninstall. Then install the VGA drivers you've downloaded from this website. http://support.gateway.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?partNumber=5386

I dont have motherboard cd but i want to reinstall th window xp

What manufacturer and model-number of computer?
The "big" names (IBM, Dell, Gateway, eMachines) will sell you
(for about $20) a replacement set of "System Recovery" CD/DVD disks. Add $20 for overnight-courier shipping.

Use those disks to reinstall Windows, with the correct motherboard device-drivers.

Check out this link. I tried it and it worked after hours (ok weeks) of trying to tweak shizz... nearly gave up. I'm posting in a few places to make it easier for other people to find this.

There you can download and run a Realtek ac97 driver that (after a little tweak) will have you making noise and annoying the neighburs in 10 minutes ;-)

Audio device erased

You have to reinstall your audio driver. Answers to your questions: 1. You can locate it in your Device Manager. Locate and expand Sound, video and game controllers. 2. You don't have to delete legacy drivers because reinstalling your audio driver will update it. Right click your audio software the one you found in the Device Manager and update it. It will find your installation cd of your system drivers. Else, manually install the audio driver.

*Drop me a comment if you still have questions. Your vote will be highly appreciated. Hope this helps you.

No sound device

? mark means no sound driver install or errors in Device Manager. u can check ur mother board cd room or can search ur audio driver in web or below may be ur answer

Question: Where do I locate motherboard sound drivers?
Answer: Users who have motherboards with on-board audio (often with VIA, Realtek, or C-Media chipsets) may have issues with their audio or AC'97 errors in Device Manager. Often this is caused because the operating system has been reinstalled and the motherboard chipset drivers are not installed. To resolve this issue try following the below steps.
Let Windows redetect drivers
If you have not recently reinstalled Microsoft Windows it's possible that your audio drivers are simply corrupt. Open Device Manager and remove all devices under "Sound, video and game controllers" and any "Other devices". Once removed reboot the computer and let Microsoft Windows re-detect the audio drivers.
Motherboard chipset drivers
Reinstalling the motherboard chipset drivers will usually resolve this issue. If your computer came with a Motherboard CD, install the chipset drivers from the CD and the sound drivers if also available on the CD.
If you do not have a motherboard CD, obtain the motherboard chipset drivers from the motherboard manufacturer.
Sound card drivers
If after installing the motherboard chipset drivers you continue to have issues install the sound drivers. We suggest you download the sound drivers from the computer manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer.
A listing of motherboard manufacturers and their drivers can be found on our motherboard chipset drivers page.

Gateway m350wvn sound

R U running XP or vista?
Be sure to make the difference when selecting drivers. Normally the drivers will be in a zip package. Download, unzip and then goto control panel - system and uninstall devices and then "action" scan for changes. This will reinstall the drivers from the unzipped location, ( U may have to tell it where they are). Good Luck

Sound problem

you can look in device manager in control panel and look in the hardware list and see if there is any yellow exclamation marks, if so this is probably your sound device not having a driver. If you are sure there is no problem with the driver, then click start>run, then type dxdiag and press enter. Look in the sound tab and click test to see if there is a driver fault.
