Question about RaidMax SIRIUS (ATX-701WS) ATX Mid-Tower Case
My side fan keeps shutting itself off making a highly annoying alarm go off for 10-30 second till it turns itself back on. Right now I can't afford to buy a new fan, so I just want to know how to make the alarm stop going off. One of my friends built this comp for me, but he is unavailable for a while and I can't use my comp when my girlfriend is sleeping because of the alarm. I'm not very computer literate (tech wise), but if someone could please tell me how to make this alarm stop going off, I would greatly appreciate it.
Here are some solutions:
1. Try to use some silicon oil in fan apertures to decrease rub
2. Try to manually (look for a mainboard's service software settings) decrease rotation speed if available
3. Less recomended: disconnect fan cable from mainboard and don't stress your computer (try not to overheat, - work with software that uses less resources) and buy a new one when available
