Synchronize to continue your music subscription

I was listening to a book on tape and the above message came on. I reset it and it is still there. There was a solution online about changing the USB setting but it was already on the one that the solution said to change it to.

I get the same message, only mine involves Rhapsody tracks. But it doesn't happen with every track. Do I have a corrupt file? How do I clean up

my Sansa? I have an e280.

I reformated mine and it seems to be working now. Of course, all files were deleted, but easy to download again. To Tippman: not sure what you're asking. I connect my Sansa with USB to HP computer running Vista and download with Rhapsody. This had been working fine for last 13 months.

SOURCE: Synchronize to continue your music subscription

You will need to sync the deivce to Rhapsody or whatever msuic svc you have been using. If the subscription has lapsed, you will not be able to use the songs anymore.

Audible books are protected, you can copy them into device, but you can't play them (...subscription...appearing ). You must use audible manager to sync audible books.
You should delete audible books that make pop up a message " synchronize to....", otherwise, your device always pops up the message when it meet the audible books.

Synchronize to continue your music subscription

I ran into the same problem with my Sansa when listening to legally downloaded audio books from the local library. This is what I found:

  • " Are you sure the player is in MTP(plays for sure) mode when you transfer it? You can check by going to settings>usb mode on the player itself. I think it needs to be for you to use library files like that. " (This worked for me)
  • "are you copy and pasting the files? if so you will need to use WMP to sync the files. copy and paste might not be transferring the license." (didn't try this -- didn't need to)
Hope this helps.

Error Message

You have to synchronize your Sansa to a computer that has a current subscription to Rhapsody, and you have to sync the Sansa to that same computer at least once every 30 days, or the Rhapsody songs will stop working. Use a different music service that is free, or convert all of the songs to Mp3 format to get around the problem. If you get a subscription to another music svc, then you must maintain a current subscription with whatever new svc you choose as well.

To get rid of that message, you need to connect your Sansa to your computer and open the Rhapsody software to "deauthorize" your Sansa (assuming that you're not going to be using the Rhapsody service). The following URL gives you two options on how to deauthorize your device (look at the bottom section of the page): http://home.real.com/product/help/chandler/en/instruction/auth_deauth_pd-textonly.htm

Synchronizing?

You have to be playing the book in Windows Media as you sync. It works then. My problem is that is loads the entire book as 'one' so you can pick up in the middle.

Synchronize to continue your music subscription message

I received the same error message. When you download a file from a subscription service, such as an audio book from a public library, you usually have to open the file on your computer first, which I believe, "activates the subscription" with the appropriate license. Some of the services pop up a screen telling you that your license is activated, but others, such as Overdrive, seem to do this automatically. When I downloaded a book and transfered it to a Sansa c240 mp3 player, I received the "synchronize" error message, but when I went through the above procedure and transferred to the mp3 player, no problems, and no error messages. farrell@comcast.net
