Can't change bag - Electrolux Oxygen canister

Have had this vacuum several months, light never indicted it was time for a bag change. Decided to check. It's FULL. The "Owner's Guide" is useless, and I cannot get the old bag out. How is this done without the thin cardboard holder tearing off in my hands? It won't budge.

My oxygen has a little red lever on lh side of bag enclosure, that has to be pushed to left and bag then is free to be removed. make sure you have the correct bag to replace.

How to fix sensor s12. red light for bag stays on even when vacuum bag is not full and the vacuum is clear

You most likely will need to change the Yoke assembly. There is a sensor built in that gets clogged with fine debris over time. This will take care of the problem.

Using hoover, stopped working. Bag very full so changed. Hoover seems very hot. Will not work. Checked fuse

Give the vacuum time to coold\ down, then try again. If it still doesn't work, take it to a repair shop to be checked.
When a vacuum is used for long after the bag is full, the motor can overheat to the extent that the motor burns out. This is one of the benefits of having a vacuum that shuts off when the bag is full.
You should also check the hose for clogs. Disconnect at both ends and drop a coin in one end. If it fails to fall through, there's a clog that needs removed. This is likely to happen at the canister end when the bag gets too full.

My Electrolux Guardian canister vacuum is not sucking it is blowing out. What can I do?

The vacuum won't blow out unless the hose is connected to the exhaust port on top of the canister.
Your problem is most likely due to the brushes running and kicking debris back out.
Loss of suction can be the result of several things, some of which will cause the vacuum to shut off.
Check afterfilter to ensure it's clean. It's located beneath the tool caddy/air diffuser on the back of the vacuum. To open the caddy, press in on tab at back and lift off. There should be a white filter on the exhaust port. If it's highly discolored or hasn't been changed in the last six months, it's time to do so.
Check the hose, wands, and power nozzle for clogs. The wands and PN can be checked visually by holding them up to light. To check the hose, hold up one end, drop a coin or marble in the end, lift the hose allowing the object to drop through.
If the bag full switch isn't working, the bag could be full. Replace it.
Make sure the both the vacuum motor and pn motor are working. If the vacuum motor is not, it could be due to the above problems, worn or broken switches/wiring, and even a bad motor.
You may need to take it to the Aerus Electrolux shop for diagnosis and repair.

Light on for "full bag or clog." I changed bag,

Check the airflow tube behind the brush. This is a common place for clogs. The hose is more common, especially at elbows, like where it attaches to the tank. Another possibility is a dirty filter. Check this first to rule it out, then check the rest.

Bag was full, changed it, the unit now turns off

Try dialing the control valve to the mid way position. If the unit still shuts down with the bag full light on you have a damaged control valve under the dial on the top of the vac.
This valve failure is common in this model and can only be repaired by someone with original AERUS Electrolux repair parts, generally at an AERUS repair shop.

Electrolux Epic 6500SR Full Bag sensor working, Does not Reset properly

The problem was a sticking switch that was not being reset. The vacuum on/off switch mechanism is comprised of two switches. One is the main switch that turns the vacuum on and off. The second is a shut off switch that gets tripped when the full bag sensor is engaged. This second switch is supposed to get reset when you push the on/off switch on the outside of the machine. The full bag shutoff switch was stiff and it, therefore, was taking a couple of presses of the on/off switch to move the shutoff switch back into the running position.

Either there is something wrong with your switch. Which it doesnt sound like it. Take it to your dealer or call another one it sounds like the control valve needs to be replaced. I am a dealer 1-866-966-9350.

The store you bought your vac from should have bags for it. Alot of stores and Sew and Vac stores carry a large variety of bags, you will have to shop or call around. A repair shop should be able to order them if need be. You should change bags when they are maybe 3/4 full. The fuller they get, the suction will decrease and make the motor have to work too hard. Also check your filters, change them if they look bad.

Won't start.

There is a reset button at the back of the powerhead. The user manual can be downloaded from the electrolux website, although I didn't find it very useful. There was some info on how to change the powerhead drive belt.
