Question about Motorola Mobility V551

1 Answer

Completely Dead? My phone recently just kinda died for no reason. I was looking at it about to make a call when the screen when black. The phone will now turn on and the backlight on the keys will come on. However, the phone has no functionality at all. It will not make or receive calls the buttons do not make noise when you push them, the screen will not come on and the backlight on the keys will not go off. If you close the phone, though, after a few seconds the screen will flash white and the phone will shut off entirely whether you leave it closed or not. I have pulled the battery for an extended length of time with no results. I'm thinking it's time for a new phone but I'd like to fix this one just for the hell of it. Any ideas?

Why does my cell phone have a blank screen?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 I was using in McDonalds on their free wi-fi. I slide down the notifications to check some download and accidentally swipped the screen dimmer all the way to the bottom without realizing it. Instant black screen.

I thought maybe the battery had gone dead. So I hooked it up to the charger when I got home. It was kinda dark where I plugged it and I noticed the screen was not black but very dim. Then I realized what had happened.

I don't know if your phone has a similar dimmer slider in the notification slide-down but if it does this might be what happened to yours. The key is to look at your phone in a dark place.

How long should i charge a new optimus black

The optimus black phone should take 2-3 hours to fully charge. When you get a new phone, however, it is generally a good idea to let the battery completely die before you start charging it.

Over time, batteries hold less and less charge. Supposedly, by allowing the battery to completely die before charging it the first time, you improve the longevity of the battery.

it crapped out either the system software or the switch that recognizes when its flipped open -- shut the phone down.. crack it open a few centimeters so u can kinda see the screen i.e less than a 1/4 the way open , using a toothpick or something similar use that to press the power button, wait and the phone should load up. note allow it to completely load to the main screen and try to navigate the software while still in this position you may be able to flip it open to work it more comfortably but definately WRITE *pen/paper* your important info from the phone i.e #'s and ect.. and prepare to buy another phone

My nokia 6220 wont start. When holding down the "on" button it just vibrate a little and the screen lights up a little bit, then it goes back to completely black again

The battery cell may be completely dead and you need to replace the battery. Because its going completely black again means its actually completely of. So try and change the battery, but make sure you charge it till its completely full before usage. Hope that puts a smile on your face.

Does my iphone 3g have a dead battery or fried logic board?

This sounds more like a battery gone bad and a charger that's not working correctly. How much warranty do you have? I have AT&T service. My battery went bad and AT&T service said they weren't supposed to do anything about a battery but they sent me a battery and charger at no cost. Worth a try.

Touch Screen Not working

"take out the sim card and underneath is a tiny black switch (lump of black plastic the size of a pin head) this was sticking out and not flush to the rim so I pushed this in."

Take a toothpick and carefully push that black plastic untill it kinda "locks"
