WFS1071BD. How do I drain it?

Hello. UNPLUG THE UNIT FIRST! The drain pump is accessible from the rear of the machine. Be careful when putting your hands/arms inside that thing--there is a load of unfinished metal edges all over and its similar to placing your hands inside a box of razor blades. Yes, I fix 'em for a living! If the unit is full of water, obtain a wet/dry vac, remove the dust filter from the motor(and hopefully it has a ball/cage under the motor so that when full of water, the ball floats and seals up the motor so water can't be sucked in). Turn on the vac and hold the mouth of the drain hose to the mouth of the vacuum hose. Get the hoses as low as possible when you do this. When the vac is full, RAISE UP THE DRAIN HOSE and place it back in the wall drain, empty the vac, then repeat the procedure until the washer is empty. If the pump is clogged, you will have to S-L-O-W-L-Y remove one of the hoses going to it while holding the snout of the vacuum hose CLOSE to the juncture of the hose and pump. If done right, any water coming out will be immediately sucked into the vac--no muss, no fuss! Keep some old bath towels handy--just in case. Have a helper to assist in dumping the vac if necessary. When the vac is full, just push the partially removed hose back onto the pump to stop the water and repeat.
The pump has a connector with 2 power wires--carefully check the connector/wires for loose connections or a broken wire due to vibration. The pump can be taken out by removing mount screws. Remember, the clog(if that's the problem) will almost certainly be in the hose coming from the bottom of the tub to the pump--MAKE SURE YOU RE-TIGHTEN THE CLAMP(S) AFTER REMOVING/REPLACING THE HOSES TO CHECK FOR CLOGS!! I hope I helped you!

The siphon tube is blowing out instead of sucking up water and solution. What would cause this?

not sure what u mean but sounds like a bad water pump or drian issue due to clogged hoses or pump sump

Washer won't drain and does not give any error code but stops running and leaves door locked kenmore HE2T after unplugging and running rinse drain and spin cycle the machine still will not completely ...

so you have the same problem I had. mine had a quarter stuck in the drain line. I had to remove the front cover and find the drian hose and mad a huge mess pulling the hose off. have a shop vac and be ready to suck up a lot of water when you pull the clamps lose. once you get the water out then you can inspect the hose and any parts that could be bad. there is only a couple things it could be. clogged; broken pump; or a bad signal from the computer to turn the pump on.

On the GE Adora machines, if the unit is not getting the correct power, the unit will not go beyond the fill point to wash. You will need to replace the "power inverter" on the unit. Here is the part you need to order.

Not draining what do i do

There is usually a clog somewhere is the hoses. The first thing to do is use a wet dry shop vac and attach it to the end of the drain hose to remove the water.Once the water is removed then remove the front panel of the washer take off the drain hoses from the drian pump and look for obstructions.make sure to remove the rubber boot that comes down from the bottom of the tub and clean out the little plastic coin trap.once the hoses are clear and there is nothing blocking the pump it should work normally, there is a chance that the door switch is faulty and or the control board is bad those are you last options

I have standing water, what do I do?

you can use a wet dry shop vac and attach it to the end of the drian hose to remove the water.
Disconnect the hose from the garbage disposal and attach the shop vac to it this will remove all the water.
once the water is removed check the drain pump for any obstructions

Water is not draining? thank's

there are a couple of things that could cause this issue.
1. is the drain pump is faulty

2. the main control board is faulty

3.there is some kind of object stopping the pump from turning

4 the wiring to the pump has become dislodge or loose.

5 there is a blockage in the drain hose from the pump

6 if you have a wet dry shop vac disconnect the drain hose from under the sink and attach the shop vac to the hose and try and remove the water.
If the water drain easy then check in the pump for something that could be stopping the impellar wheel or faulty pump.
If no water comes out then there could be a grease plug blocking the hose you can use a hair dryer and heat the area of hose the grease plug may be in to remove it. good luck i hope this was helpful for you

The dishwasher won't drain and we have no air gap. what can we try? the sink drain is good

The first thing to try is to unhook the drain hose to the drain. dump out any water, then blow in the hose or use a shop vac reattach the hose and then run through cycle. If this did not work, you will need to pull out the dishwasher, (shutoff electric to d/w) remove hose from pump, remove debris from drain pump, make sure hose is clear, reattach the hose, and run through the drain cycle.

I am assuming the d/w was draining previously. If the above suggestions do not work, the next issue is to replace the drain pump.

Good Luck

My GE Nautilus will not drain. I have taken out the covers on the inside to check for blockage and there is none. I took the cover off the lower portion to check if motor is turning and I am not certain...

do you hear the pump running? i dont like the idea of calling it a grinder.....things can still cause your pump to clog need to unassemble from the inside and check pump...also check drain hose for clogs. mac and cheese is a stinky mess.

Shop vac sucks water for a few seconds then it spits it back out

Don't use the paper filter for sucking water. It can ruin it. It will still be usable if you just set it out to dry but there is no reason to use it for water in my experience. I have a sears shop vac and it will fill up more than half full without ejecting the water.
