File Manager will work (Start -> File Manager). I use Total Command as opposed to file manager. There is also a setting to default your (future) pics to the SD card. Hit the camera button, hit Menu (right soft button), select Options... select Camera, then Save Files to.

You'll be copying from the \My Documents\My Pictures folder.

Copy the files to \Storage Card\DCIM (create the folder if you need to, this will be your new default folder when you change the setting mentioned in the last post).

Was having problems with mini SD card in my HTC Desire S as it kept unmounting. Following advice from work colleagues and forums, I transferred all my stored memory from the mini SD card to my laptop

I don't think you lost your pictures. Same thing happened to my phone. I brought it to the HTC Service Center and they upgraded the software. I suggest you take it to the nearest HTC Service Center so the problem can be resolved.

I am having a problem transfering pictures from my Kodak EasyShare C1013 camera to the computer.........any suggestions, it will transfer a few but not all the pictures. Thank You

The easiest and fastest way to transfer pictures/videos from your camera is by removing the SD card from your camera and insert it into a SD card reader. You can buy card readers at any computer stores at cheap prices. You insert the SD card into a card reader and then you insert the card reader into a free USB slot on your computer and then you can copy ALL your files then wherever you want.

Thanks for using Fixya!

Cannot download pictures from phone to computer

The easiest way to transfer pictures from a cell phone to a computer without incurring addtional charges is to transfer the pictures to a mini SD card and then insert the SD card into your PC. If you will tell me what kidn of phone you have, I can try to find the directions for where to install the mini SD card and how to transfer the pictures. At that point, you can also set the camera to automatically save the pictures to the SD card to save yourselves steps next time. : )

How do i synik music from my pc 2 my phone ?

You have a couple of choices.

If your computer has bluetooth and your phone does then install the software for the phone
You neglected to say the brand and model so i cannot point you to the software in case you cannot find the CD that came with it.

Or you can use a cable to connect the phone to the computer

Again with out makes and models etc it is difficult to give a concise answer

Almost all modern phone software has the ability to SYNC the phone to the computer and allow file transfer.

Some phones can also do it via the Wi-Fi in you home if you have Wi-Fi or another suitable wireless adaptor.

Another alternative is if your phone had a memory card and your computer has a card reader installed in which case it is as simple as putting the card into the computer and transfering the files to that card.
then simply put the card back in the phone.

the cards are often refered to as mini SD or mini SDHC. you mayneed an adaptor to take the mini card to the regular SD card size and one may even have come with it if you bought a memory card for your phone

boot_c_03.08.00r_mpap Paul Sager from FixYa has posted a solution for this problem previousley (as below). I have tried the Motorola and Verizon sites (tried the store as well) and the software is not available to flash the phone. Do you know of a site that would still have it available? Or can this question be sent to Paul to further comment on it? All I want to do is recover the phone numbers, notes and calandar from the phone via Activesync or Windows. Paul Sager 2335 Solutions July 14, 2010 I can help you with your Motorola Moto Q. What has happened is that the firmware of your phone has become corrupted. When this happens your phone will no longer finish its boot sequence. This is a very common situation with many phones: in fact, much of what I do here at Fixya is explain how people can fix their MP3 players, GPS and phones by reflashing the firmware. The good news is that if you take your phone into your carrier's store, they can reflash it for you right there (if they have a competent tech handy.) If you are comfortable with computers etc, you can also do it yourself. Your computer will communicate with and fix your phone, even though it doesn't seem to recognize it right now - I've seen this many many times. My only warning for you is that if you are going to flash your phone yourself, you need to get the correct firmware from motorola's site for your carrier. I just downloaded the Verizon firmware as an example - Motorola's website has about ten different carrier firmwares for their MotoQ phone. I hope that helps.
