REMOTE CODE FOR DIGITALSTREAM CONVERTER BOX

Different brand converter box will have differen tset-up codes. Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; to which you want set-up codes; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window" to get gathered related posts.

It sounds that your digital stream box have to be re-tuned. If the tuning is out, this kind of fault can occur. just do a hard reset to this box, before doing a re-tune. To make it a hard reset, just unplug the device from AC mains wall socket, and then replug it back after 15 minutes or so. The device will reset itself. Your remote is only able to control TVs and DVD players. It will not control your DTV Converter Box.

Not a complete solution, but, around the last page (pg. 14) of your converter box manual there are codes listed for universal remotes. I happen to have a Philips remote that is listed. My code to control my dtv box is 0354. It appears that they have all codes listed for all Radioshack model universal remotes. I would suggest getting a Radioshack remote for Your "Digital Stream" (Radioshack) dtv box...

Can I use my Universal Remote Control to operate the converter box?
Yes, follow the guidelines below for the different Universal Remotes and Converter Boxes sold at RadioShack.
Digital Stream Digital to Analog Converter Box (Model DTX9900, SKU 15-149) 

If the date code on your model is April 2008 (04A08) or later, the following universal remotes from RadioShack will work, with the exceptions as listed below.

1. EPG is the Guide button.

i can not get my tv to pick up a signal.I know my antena works i have tried it on other tvs.Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?
