4D d-Card Reader/Writer Kit and Husqvarna Quilt Designer II

Assume you are loading your designs using Organizer? Yes? I have very limited experience of this, preferring to use Disk Manager (but you need to have this program which I am guessing you don't).

It is my understanding that Organizer will only load one design to an embroidery media, not a whole menu of various designs. However you obviously are not "seeing" even one design. Did a pre-loaded Husqvarna card come with your machine? I think it should have, but if it didn't then that doesn't help you very much either.

I am wondering if the D-card is not "formatted" for embroidery recognition. The Designer machines like to receive their designs in a certain file arrangement but I'm afraid I can't offer you advice on how to format the card - I do my formatting through Disk Manager.

However, while I was writing the above it did occur to me - are you loading designs that are the .shv format? Your machine will not recognize .hus, .vip, .vp3 or any other format. Please write back to this group and let me know if any of the above was useful to you. I belong to a Yahoo group that deals exclusively with Designer machines, so I will ask the group members if they can come up with any helpful advice.

As a novice, I am interested in purchasing an embroidery/sewing combo machine. Which one is better (w/ less problems & under $1000.) ?

I got my Jenome MC10001 5 years ago. It was the top of the line combo. Within 5 years Jenome retired it, I also found that the manufacturer was not keeping the connections to the PC current. As well the machine drivers will only connect to a 32 bit PC. Bottom line. Sewing machine manufacturers want to produce computerized machine$ but are not interested in designing their machines to accomodate future technology through firmware upgrades or replacable connection ports. Your machine will likely be obsolete not because of dealer support but because of changing external technology. Also support is not as good as from computer software companies. If you get a embrodery machine, you need software and expensive threads.

Think twice.

I need to know where to get a manuel for my ESante Ese2 embrodery machine. No problems now, but I haven't used it for a while and need to review things before I start up again.

The Babylock website has downloads. If you cannot find a manual, send a message to customer service. They are usually prompt to assist.

Pfaff 7570 program

I have somewhere that installation diskette (with the old SW version). If I'm not mistaken it was not included with the sewing machine but sold separately with the embrodery arm that we bought together with it some 10 years ago. Email me to azach@kci-medical.com if you need more help.

My Desiger SE embroidery machine is frozen on the start up screen

Turn the machine off. See if you can put it in update mode by pressing and holding the lower right and upper left buttons to the left of the take-up lever while turning the power back on. If you can get to update mode, download and install the latest update.
Let me know how this goes.
